As for the majority of fans on social media wanting us to be more like the plastics... i don't see it... there's a few who shout loud about removing the manager, that they know a winning formulae!!!!!... not that I take online stuff as a good reflection of the majority of fans views.
The historical "playing the system" occurred, in the main, before the current obscene amounts of money (primarily from Sky/otger tv rights deals) became available. I don't think I'm making to many outrageous assumptions when I suggest Ridsdale and Bates would have been VERY involved in getting their snouts in the trough, exploiting every opportunity to corrupt.

GFH never got out of the starting blocks but their mere success at gaining ownership shows how corrupt they were.

Perhaps Cellino and Radrizzani weren't "guilty" of attempting to win titles by "splashing the cash", but the evidence is clear that neither were fit owners, both willing to exploit their ownership status for their own ends putting those head and shoulders above the interests if the club.

You mention "winning titles by hiding money deals", yet the number of domestic titles won by those in the top 6 is miniscule. Only Schitty are in that somewhat jaundiced group. Not very successful, buying titles, hmmm?

And lastly, I find it very tiresome that you persist in taking one of my statements and put your own interpretation on it. I never suggested that ANY Leeds supporters would ever accept being regarded as "plastics". What i said and happy to repeat it, is that there are vast swathes of Leeds supporters who care more about the performance of their team on the pitch than wanting to spout some sanctimonious twaddle about club owners earning a crust, or acquiring a winning squad.
