  • Offside rule

Watching the MOTD highlights of Arsenal : Bournemouth. No particular interest in the fortunes of either but more interested in the the Arsenal goal disallowed due to an offside "decision".

The Arsenal player who "scored" was offside frim the moment he had the ball played to him, everyone knew that, so why does it take for the player to put the ball in the net for the linesman to raise his flag?

Stupid, time wasting, illogical, what else could such a diabolically daft action be called?

And yet the Burnley goal from Anthony is disallowed 've m an instantaneous decision from the linesman with Anthony's shoulder being deemed offside (f00king stupid anyway)

Because linesmen and referees have become complacent, waiting on the decision from curropt var officials

Mostly I'd agree, but the offside was sooooo blatant, there were no other Arsenal players for miles and once.the ball went into the net, up went the flag, no VAR involvement at all. Diwnt understand the rule any more.

Burnley have been well and truly shafted by some awful VAR DECISIONS re Offside..two more on Saturday.

It's staggering just how bad Prem officials are.

I really believe the VAR refs are totally corrupt. You can't be that in competent.

Alfy is right. we've been hosed our fair share but Burnley have a masters degree on how to get shafted by the officials.

Much preferred the lack of VaR in the EFL as the game flows and doesn?t lose momentum.

The watches for goal or. In goal are good but the VAR stuff changes the nature of the game too much.
