Any lessons from the Man U game?

For me

We seem to play at our best when we aggressively press in the other teams half and attack with forward intent.

We don?t need all the favourites to play well, Stach and Rodon were out and yet others stepped in and stepped up.

When we defend in our half and press passively we allow the opposition time and space to hit us. The lack of pressure on Fernandes being a good example and if you give him enough opportunities he will connect.

Darlow is turning out to be a good stopper.

It obviously means the world to Farke good to see him showing how much it means.

Agreed on all points except the last one. It's no good one game against Scum, meaning the world to him, he should be getting the players playing as they did in the first half, every game and then we would ALL be much happier

Good win but heaps of luck also. My gripe was in the second half. Bogle got into positions but could hardly run, and clearly something was worng with him and he kept on for the full game? Man u were ablo****e garbage and they nearly stole it with ten man. First half we were briliant but the game totally changed when they went down to 10. Anyway we got the points as you need luck sometimes.Ohh yeah waiting for Tanaka to be dropped and Darlow was always a good keeper just castle and Farke never played him.

I have seen plenty teams up there game when down to 10 men, including us, also we have had our fair share of bad luck in enough games I care to remember. Swings & roundabouts huh? Two thirds of the game we imo bossed them. Never mind luck and nit picking every little fault with us you can find. Enjoy the moment. We won and deserved it. It is a great time to be a LEEDS fan.

Once upon a time George, I recall fans would be ecstatical with ANY win over this mob....but not on here, Prefer to whinge and pick out the negatives instead....which is similar to most match day threads regardless of results! Yes it was frustrating 2nd half, but give away supporting us if you cann't at least get a kick out of that win....

I was at Old Trafford to see Beckford silence their fans and Yes, we were all truly ecstatic.

Difference between then and now, and contrary to what WS said about the squad in his earlier post, is that we DO have a squad capable of going toe-to-toe with the majority of the PL and giving at the very least a good account of ourselves. We can see that, there is clear evidence from games against City, Chelsea etc that it's true. The issue is with Farke. It's been demonstrated often enough that he tolerates no dissent where strategy and tactics are concerned. We can only conclude that the changes we see on the pitch, switching from assertive, high press, threatening to defensive, tentative, anxious.

The squad have demonstrated their ability and I agree with WS on one point, that they have an extremely strong team spirit and wirk their socks off for each other.

The "nit picking" is driven by frustration (at least in my case), that a slim victory, very welcome though it is, could have been a much more satisfying spanking of an old adversary.

even better when you think that we were missing Stach, Rodon, James and Bogle was no where near 100%. Gudmunson returning from injury and Bijol and justin did well.

I love what Okafur, Tanaka bring and Gnonto and Longstaff very solid.

Nail biting second half and our players gave everything as did Farke. Imagine his nerves! Mine were shot by the end and as others have said, be happy when these times arrive. A great 3 points, a great all round effort. Well done to all those involved.

Not sure why tanaka and okafor were taken off, our two best players who were causing Man U problems, and why does Dan James always have an abductor problem, except when he plays for wales of course?

The big lessons are; don't swing the opposition by their hair and as Captain roll around on the floor for no reason while you concede a second goal. And as manager whinge like a child when you do lose

The final whistle DF on his knees fists clenched, right there, then at that moment he was definitely one of us not the manager but a fan! He wanted that not just the 3 pts like we all want but to win after all these years?there are 45 year old LEEDS fans who have never witnessed this! Plus a FA cup semi final?loads upon loads of fans have never had the chance to see this?win or lose.

It is three points won and a good team win, what most fans never thought possible. Played a team who thought it would be a easy win for them, not played for three weeks. Man I feel good and super proud to be LUFC.

I could say a lot of things but i just 1. pointing out the truth and where we got it wrong is reflexion on the game, Lucky as with ten man they had 2 certain goals cleared of the line! and pointing out that a player was stuffed and should have been subbed must be also a crime.Ps there is a diffrence between a follower and a supporter . As a follower i observe, a supporter goes to games pays fees something i can't do as I'm a million mlles away.

Disagree. We are all supporters of Leeds United. Many live in Yorkshire or otherwise within striking distance of Elland Road. Others live miles away, hundreds of miles away and thousands of miles away. That's the magic of a big club with much history and true support from all around the world.
