👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Originally posted by george_kaplan View PostJust opinions, we all have em, like most on here we have a fair few years following our club, we have seen happy, happier and happiest of times over the years, and bad, very dark and rotten times.
This time no matter what or who’s views we are at a happy time…my opinion. For the young and very young a great and proud time.
Just enjoy our remaining games all have a brilliant summer then get down to another premiership season, imo again, we will be at a higher position than where we finish this time.

So Daniel/LUFC, keeps proving you wrong; now has 4pts from the last 2 games, the 3 you thought we would get nothing fromOriginally posted by WTF11 View PostI have a very well-developed sense of humour, it helps when I ?converse? here, but as to ?deflecting? (what a stupid word to use), I?m deflecting absolutely nothing. What I actually wrote about the last three games was as follows:
?We might be safe, but what are the prospects of getting anything from any of the last three games?? A question, which no-one chose to answer, not even you.
Anyone thinks we weren?t fortunate to come away with anything last night was watching another game. As for Brighton, oh yeah we?ll walk that one, and if Spam get anything from Newcastle and Spuds don?t at Chelsea then the last game of the season could spell the drop for either, you think BOTH won?t be ?desperate to stay in the PL?? (And you?re suggesting Spuds AREN?T desperate to stay in the PL, really? I?m wrong about that, you reckon?
As for Wrexham ?buying their way up the leagues, just what do you expect EVERY club to do when funding is available? At least Wrexham made a fist of it this season, missing out on the division playoffs by one point, unlike Birmingham who have spent colossal amounts and finish 10th and way off playoff contention. The next series is released next Friday, you should take off the blinkers and watch (from the beginning of Series 1), it might just open your eyes, then again, maybe not.
You dissect Leeds form over the season and ask why we didn't do better? If we could predict results there would be no need for Orgs or CB's quizzes
Form of both teams, injuries to both teams, schedules, errors all play apart.
Your beloved Wrexham.. if they accrued as many points in the first half of the season as they did in the second half, they would have comfortably secured a play of place. They also did better against the top3 than against the teams finishing 4/5/6... go figure

I am very happy with our season for a first year promoted team that largely followed all PSR rules. In addition, for much of the season it was very easy on the eyes football. It's easy to second guess but coach did more things right than wrong and we generally were very competitive. Not a hard team to get behind for sure.
I do wish we didn't fixate on certain players so much. we really haven't missed Gruev since his injury. Aaronson plays over Longstaff, Gnonto and Tanaka and I think Justin would still be riding the bench if not for injury to bogle. However, he gets more right than wrong and the side plays hard for him.
May we have more years like this one but maybe get a few more games "over the line". would love to be top 10 next year but no Europe just yet.

I wondered when you would arrive.Originally posted by whitestomper45 View PostSo Daniel/LUFC, keeps proving you wrong; now has 4pts from the last 2 games, the 3 you thought we would get nothing from

Yes, we did much better (points-wise anyway) than I thought we would, but then again I didn?t anticipate Their defence committing hari kiri in the last minute of the game (I doubt Farke did either). Was a well taken poached goal by DCL, glad for him in the run-up to the England squad selection but I fear a little too little, too late.
I still don?t think we did as well as we could. You make the point regarding Wrexham (and they aren?t my beloved anything, you make yourself look stupid suggesting otherwise, I give credit where its due is all, and not simply in footballing terms), and their first half of the season performance. You?re right, so why is it that when Leeds put together a run of truly remarkable results, you don?t seem to find the reversion to defensive tippy tappy and an end of season position that belies where we could/should have been, equally frustrating/unfathomable?
I stick by my prediction, despite Farkes ?shot across the bows? at the presser, retain him and we will be right back here this time next year.

"Very easy on the eye" & "More years like this one". WTF???? Clearly watching different games and equally clearly have differing levels of "satisfaction"Originally posted by spaldy View PostI am very happy with our season for a first year promoted team that largely followed all PSR rules. Why I don't mind Farke's reversion to tippy tappy... Well I do a little but understand why. He's pragmatic, a limited team that has that Bielsa like team ethos, his target was to survive and as the finishing line slowly got nearer he erred on the side of caution to reach his KPI. We are not overloaded with PL quality, our front three main strikers have upto signing for us were injury prone and had to get up to speed, we took a risk (we are not at the top table again yet) We have one quality midfielder in Stach, the rest.. well i've given my thoughts plenty of times.. but the great thing is the team ethos and always the fans, who (mostly) get behind the team no matter what, we proved that in the mediocrity of Lge1 we he have the best supporters of any team.Originally posted by WTF11 View PostI wondered when you would arrive.

It's great to see Farke raising the bar, like a new successful pop band, the 2nd album is much harder.. As a Northern Soul fan am not looking for heavy metal
Norwich didn't back him and true to his character he didn't complain, i for one am glad he is our manager, am not expecting to pull up trees next year, a solid mid table, progress slowly, he reminds me a bit of George Graham, who could have been a great manager for us until London called him back...

Being described as an "irritating poster" isn't something I find particularly humorous, and I suspect had I used the same description with some of those you feel compelled to "defend", you wouldn't have seen the funny side either. What's good for the goose.....Originally posted by hopelesslyoptimistic View PostOh come on for once try to smile or have a sense of humour.
