There were sixty points up for grabs from the final ten Premier League games and, much as last season, it seems to me as if few of the real teams took these fixtures seriously. I'm looking at you, Everton.
For the second season running, the clear (*) winner was Pacaman (xOEExxxExx) with a very modest 21 points out of the sixty available (he won with 24 last time around). Only four games needed!
(*) Hopey (xxxOExxE??) only posted eight scores (living up to his recent slackearse moniker?!). This scored 21 points for the PL League proper because he has default "2-1" scores in place for any missed fixtures. However...
...this generous accommodation does NOT apply for Dash scoring - formal entries are required - so his Dash score is 15.
That said, I'm assuming he's unlikely to sulk, especially as I doubt he'll read this anyway.
Right. There was an initial tie for second spot between Totty (OxxExxEOxx) and Ozleeds (xEOxxxOExx) who both scored 18. Who finished where and why?
For second and third the final Dash rankings were determined by:
1) The most correct outcomes
Totty (two outcomes, two exact). Ozleeds (two outcomes, two exact).
No discrimination between second and third, so...
2) The closest to the total number of goals scored (24)
Totty (21 goals - 3 away). Ozleeds (29 goals - 5 away).
Totty takes the "official" second Dash place over Ozleeds. Bragging rights only, I'm afraid!
Pacaman is the official PL 2025/2026 Dash winner
If Pacaman can confirm his address details are (hopefully!) the same as last year (the messaging function on here doesn't seem to work for me), my trophy gnomes can start work handtooling a second thoroughly impressive trophy that can join last season's in Pacaman's even-more-extensive trophy cabinet in a few weeks!
Many thanks to those of you who took the time to bother to enter and, assuming there's enough interest, the 24th version of the PL competition (with this corresponding Dash at the end) should start again later this year!
All the best! Stay safe!
