Wonder how clinical the club will be in moving on players that are either not good enough or will never get near the pitch

Surely all of these will go

    Byram
    Meslier
    Harrison
    Wober
    Schmidt
    Joffy
    Joseph
    Piroe
    Cairns

Some of these probably should go

    Nmecha
    Aaronson
    James
    Borneaw
Longstaff (if never going to get game time)

Some of these likely to be sold whatever we think of them

    Gnonto
    Ramazani
    Tanaka

Could be an interesting window when it opens

The even numbered years always a bit more complicated with an international tournament on.

We have moved up the food chain a little so as you say will be interesting times...

Really hope we don't go chasing on Keepers. Darlow is a steady and servicable keeper. we really don't have much luck in this area. Darlow was a bargain signing that turned good for us. Sign him up for a longer term contract and get a good youth backup or someone on their last contract and not quite ready to hang it up. I seem to recall that Robert Green fit that bill.

Rather save that transfer money on a field player. Really hope we don't sell Tanaka, Longstaff or Strujik

I think Bornauw, Gnonto, harrison, ramazani will go because they want to go. Piroe will go too but not sure if he will be loaned out. No way gelhardt will be sold to Hull now that Hull are a league rival. Another loan I think. In midfield they have ampadu, longstaff, gruev, Tanaka, stach. Might possibly keep all(?). Up front have nmecha, DCL, aaronson, okafor, james. Looks anemic without gnonto, piroe.
Defensively have struijk, bijol, rodon, gudmonsson, Bogle, Justin. Practically on life support, as farke doesn't play Byram who will probably leave.
So I think we need 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward. That means we will probably get 3 wingers.

See Ramazani has dirtied his bib at Valencia, looked like they were going to make it a permanent move, but antics meant he was dropped for last 4 games...

Club also needs to avoid the seasonal transfer saga of bids in, bids rejected on one player for weeks on end. Make a sensible, balanced and attractive offer, if not accepted, then move on to Plan B.

              + 1

Embarrassing how we chase some of these signings. Like a Cuck

Am not sure we are always chasing players as cited in media, some of it likely hype from the players agent.... Remember that lad Ryan Kent, he was continually linked with us.. I don't think we ever actually put a bid in for him did we?

Doesn’t seem to matter who (or what) is/are the current owners, we repeatedly do as Bathlad suggests (although as WS responds, clickbait has a lot to answer for!). Even in public however, the club seems incapable of resisting the temptation to fix on a target and then act like a dog with a bone, to the detriment of a clinical and determined effort to truly examine what is available and how they might address equally clearly identified need.

We were fortunate last summer, some of the incomers have turned out to be real finds, but by the same token, we have some somewhat less than stellar benchwarmers (Bornauw, Buononote (yes, I know he came later but hardly value for money, whatever we paid), and then players like Longstaff (who really REALLY should get more game time!), and Justin (ditto), where the club seems willing to let them “wither on the vine”, as with Gelhardt and others.

I am still very doubtful as to whether Farke can get the team doing any better than last season, that doubt will be magnified if we rootle around in the bargain basement (As we have in the past), or fixate on some “wunderkind” that diverts attention for the real world. Some significant signings are required and comprehensive clear out of those who simply aren’t on Farkes radar (the good, the bad and the so-so’s)

Keep Darlow, get rid of Perri, and see if Ramsdale would be prepared to come in as "equal first" rotated as best Farke can manage?

Ramsdale isn?t the answer by a very long way - he has been poor all season long and can?t kick the ball.

Jean-K?vin Augustin is available as a free agent, he's career blighted by injury (as we experienced), still only 28 his market value is
                          ? 150,000

wider lens required looking into transfer targets as from a commercial perspective any club has to protect its interests by initially introducing performance based pay into any player contract negotiations.

Leeds will of course spout this as potential to increase levels of targeted player motivation in allowing players to take control of their earnings via use of the club performance analysis methods alongside its data analytics.
obviously such performance related pay structures can help or hinder clubs recruitment strategies depending on levels of financial incentives targeted players agents require from the off.

throw into the ring club locations and local cultures on offer with available relocation support involving language, housing and safety provisions then the ball park figures tend to move somewhat, let alone who will be their coach and medical support.

end of the day its fine lines for all individual player personal choices from image rights requests for prestige targets and for those who are only wanting first team minutes as a guaranteed starter or as a first choice rotation option, as anything else offered will only see said targets move elsewhere.

sign a good one and very soon the bright lights of London start calling and possibly other euro capitals particularly the younger players who want an urban living lifestyle with lights.
interestingly Leeds last summer signed older pros with families in tow which worked well but maybe that strategy may change in next seasons squad dynamics, whatever, not going to be easy if financial handcuffs are on at ER.

credit to Farke into keeping squad motivated and credit to the coaching staff behind the scenes but ins and outs could change all that very quickly in signing square pegs for round holes for next seasons weekly tactical merry go rounds.

Good to see that as soon as the season was over they started on the ground improvement too. See the latest planks for there to eventually be a tram service connecting the area to the city.
