Yes Billy, myself & other younger members of French society attend the vast remembrance ceremonies every year here & help lay memorials on behalf of the British Legion, mate, as well as tend the many, many war graves too.
In fact we had this made overlooking our beach for this years service - Lest we Forget !
Not all youth fit your terminology or indeed your aired sentiment of them.
Just saying

My uncle died on normandy beach. Some festering hell hole that meant nothing to his stupid, ignorant and misguided ass. I know it will stun you but he didn't wake up one day and decide he wanted to go to france. It's because your sorry ass military couldn't defend their country.Originally posted by Francewhite View PostWell, at least the citizens of Russia, N. Korea, China etc. have an excuse as they don't have democratic elections. The US does and elects a man who isn't to be a janitor. Stupid, ignorant and misguided.
**** you.

Actually Spaldy I'm Scottish and my uncle was killed in Flanders during WW1 and my father was in the front lines in France and Germany in WW2. They were fighting for democracy and freedom and to save everybody's sorry "ass" not just France's. France is my place of residence now but I'm not a citizen.

The left smears people in the centre and to the right it fears instead of having a proper sensible debate for fear it might lose it.
If you look at many of the people who publicly came out to support Trump many could be described as fairly sane and sensible but the moment that spoke for Trump they themselves became attacked.
The democrats don’t really seem to stand up for the rights of ordinary people as opposed to supporting minority interests or their own agendas.
The 1980s same a much bigger disparity in ideological views yet there was respectful discourse.

My father-in-law was in the first wave on Gold, paramedic you would call him nowadays. Spent the next two years or so attached to various active units ending up with an armoured brigade that liberated Auschwitz. There was a reason America chose to prioritise the European campaign. Hitler was almost as advanced as America in developing a nuclear capability. Liberating Europe wasn't "simply" of benefit to the Europeans. Had Hitler continued to develop nuclear capability and the ballistic missile technology exemplified by the V2 (the successor of which would have been intercontinental and was in prototype development when the development sites were overrun by allied forces), your predecessors might well have been waking up to a smouldering hole where New York used to be.
Britain and it's empire stood alone for the first two years of WWII, had we not done so, you'd be speaking German, so f00k you back.

My Mum, Irish & Derry to the core..... now 90 lived the years of the late 1950's "Troubles" but the impact of the conflicts abuse remains with her to this day.........despite moving through several countries to be closer to her family.Originally posted by hopelesslyoptimistic View Postinstead of having a proper sensible debate.... ..... a much bigger disparity in ideological views yet there was "respectful discourse".
........so my opinions of politics and of verbal abuse, its effects & support requirement are very real via family backgrounds history..... as are 'loose' politicians holding the powers and what they do with them........so maybe more decorum on here ladies and gentlemen as WE are all Leeds.☺ [alledgedly].

Just catching up on here.
Pretty much agree with Mrs O.
I’ve quite enjoyed this thread (some interesting observations from both sides of the political divide), but if we could keep it to reasoned arguments instead of, well, you know, we can carry on without my needing to get involved.
A little steam venting is fine, but no more than that please!

To that lefty retard, Will Feral, please STFU about your opinion on Trump. We don't care what you think. You're just an overpaid actor who invested in Leeds United. If you don't like Trump, then leave the US. But there are plenty of countries who don't want woke crybabies like yourself. Your fellow actors have claimed they will drink Drano, put themselves through a wood chipper, flee the US etc etc if Trump won. Well, he did win. Let's see how many actually do what they said they'd do. In the meantime, please stop embarrassing Leeds United (that's the player's job....LOL....joke).
