I have no illusions regarding the "altruism" of any nation, or any political/government system that may apply. My fear, genuine fear, is that Trump adopting a "might is right" attitude and applying it primarily to the Western Hemisphere, renders NATO gravely damaged, even without any actual action against Greenland. That suits Putin, and it may suit Trump, but I doubt if it will suit the citizens of most of Europe, right or left wing (or no wing at all, which is what we might end up with).

Cyprus is NOT Greek, it is a "sister nation" with strong historical ties to Greece, but it ISN'T a greek state. It never joined NATO, and so when Turkey invaded in 1974 it was invading a NON-NATO state, no matter what the Greeks might think or had hoped for from NATO. As for NATO/EU membership, I suspect most non-members would like to join, given the "benefits" that the EU hands out and the security benefits that persuaded Finland and Sweden to join recently..Originally posted by ozleeds View PostRead for a start, I said they want turkey in nato ffs. Cyprus is greek or you didn't know that, and greece is.
As for an expert on world matters, I take pride in talking only about what I know, as in USA politics, my nephew lives there and get first hand account.
And I'm proud to stand up to people who have no clue about anything when they think they do.
You have contradicted yourself so many times, and youare still in denial.
As for that silly woman, what was she doing there in the first place? You do realise all those white sickos are paid actors, right, funded by crims to cause chaos. I guess not.
Once again, leave us in peace and just concentrate on your own country as just in case you didn't know, you are being colonized.
An expert in world politics as a result of what you get from your brother in the USA? You've said yourself you've never been to Europe, or the Middle East, or Africa, and I suspect Asia and the Far East would be viewed as "contaminated" so just what bits do you have personal knowledge of?
"That silly woman"????? Jees you need to get a grip. Neither you nor I know why she was there, but given that she was a mother and new to the city, named Renee Nicole Macklin Good. She was 37 years old and had three children. Originally from Colorado, she moved to Minnesota from Ohio some three weeks ago. You should be ashamed of yourself. There are three kids without a mother and husband without a wife just because some trigger-happy ICE agent thinks he's living in the wild west
I will leave you alone, and I really mean that, you are beyond the pale

As for leaving me alone I wish you can do the same to all the other people on here as well.

On that latter issue....The majority of illicit drugs trafficking from Venezuela, according to the FBI, relates to cocaine and the majority of that traffic is to Europe, not the USA.Originally posted by spaldy View PostKeep on believing that Trump is going to invade Greenland
Keep on believing that trying to run over a law officer in front of you with a 4000lb vehicle is fine.
Keep on believing that exporting tons of fentanyl that?s killed over a hundred thousand citizens of a foreign country is fine
Also, perhaps of interest to those with a few brain cells left, the indictment rendered against Madurro makes NO MENTION of Fentanyl. Could that be (shock horror), that the Department of Justice doesn't think it could achieve a successful conviction regarding trafficking of Fentanyl? Surely not.

Venez and most countries in south America are cocaine exporters and other elicit drugs. Mexico is the fentanyl world supplier. Where the other countries import it from and mix it with the other drugs they sell. Fentanyl is an addictive drug once hooked there is no way off it hence it's mixed with other drugs to make junkies addicted proper. So in other words yes fentanyl is imported from any south American country.

DID YOU ALSO NOTICE SHE WAS LAUGHING AT THEM. The same cop was run over 6 months ago by some immigrant and had heaps of injury's out of that one. I has also come out she is a lesbian and her apparent husband lol came out and said it's all her fault as she's a professional activist and she put her up to it and to cause problems for the officer's. That's why people need to shut up when they don't know something.Originally posted by spaldy View PostThe bodycam of the law enforcement officer was released today. It's also the entire event and not an edited short clip. She runs over the officer.
Luckily, the dog in the vehicle was not hit by the bullet.

So, contrary to "rumours" the Iranian elite have NOT capitulated and fled the country. They HAVE shot and killed hundreds of the protesters they call "vandals". Trump embolden the protesters by suggesting the USA Would "hit them hard" if they started shooting protestors.
Well Mr President they are killing protesters, are you going to live up to your threats or is Iran a bigger fish than Venezuela or Cuba.

I'm guessing that not giving the IIRG or the regime information about what the opposition is doing like we did in 2009 might be a good start.
Maybe not giving the regime 10's of billions of dollars like we did in 2020 and 2021 might also be a good start.

What's the pointof talking about these countries?
They are all the same Muslims, it all ends up going back like it was, e.g., Iran Afganastan jordan yemen siria and the others! They just go back to what they were. They do not know any better. One minute they are protesting against Israel, the next they wave the Israeli flag, e.g., in London.

The reality is that Iran is not in anyone's hands right now other than the Iranian people. Trump's comments are merely meant to temper the killing that we all know is going to occur. The Persians are intelligent people and they've had enough. It has to be their doing for what the future holds for them. I am most hopeful for them that the money now used for world terrorism will go toward the improving their lives and most importantly allows the women the right to be educated and having legal rights.
If Trump threatening the regime to not kill innocent people in their country stops even a small number of deaths isn't that a good thing? I really don't see any down side.
