Still think the Rangers deal meant in the early window we missed a trick or two getting in early signings. Manor Solomon should have been done back in January when I believe he would have cost 10m and Levy wanted to sell.
The 49ers said they had spent 6 months preparing for the window so should have been a lot better.
It also seems we have rejected decent offers - see the interview he gave- for Piroe - should have bagged the money and upgraded to a PL standard striker.
DCL when fit and if he stays fit is a great signing but big ifs.

You can buy all new players for all the positions you want, but if team tactics are not improved to meet the demands of Prem football then it is gong to be a long season.Comment

We know his tactics, and so-called changes to fit into the Premier League went out the window. Sit back and play table tennis at the back, and occasionally hit it over the halfway line. Most of the newbies were signed not match fit and/or carrying knocks. Having played in midweek another reason to play the established rested players. International break now, time for integration and improving fitnessComment

Simple answer?..no?..I?ll put my head on the block and say we will sign no one, with the same old tripe about how close we were, no one wants to come, simple as that, the Brighton lad chose Chelsea, the Leicester guy has now chose stuttgart, hamer will probably go elseWhere and IF we do by chance happen to get someone it will be some injury prone warhorse who nobody else wants or some reject that can?t get a game elsewhere, then the board will give us a load of bull like we are idiots.Comment

If that's all they stand for, well, we are already doomed. If A team like us with the best supporters can't reach the heights of the Fulham bournemeaths Everton, Brighton, Forest, and the like, what are we there for?
Once again, we are going to the last day and wondering WTF. I don't buy they don't want to come crap as they deliberately feed us crap to show they are trying only behind the scenes, signing freebies and other crap like in the past no one will want.
Glad to see our keeper laughing and getting praise for his 0 effort when not even one shot went into him or the goals.Comment

Keeper made a decent save second half and was good coming for crosses and corners. He also was decent clearing it or passing it out too.
Marathe surely has an ace up his sleeve given his recent interviews.
We seem to (yet again) be linked with El Khannous and Uche. Ur think they already have Hamer lined up. Supposed to be on loan with a requirement to buy at the end of the season.
We definitely need more guile out wide too - someone like Rama .. oh wait
I suspect DCL and Nmecha have shown enough for them to be willing to take a gamble in that position.Comment
