Worth remembering how many first team squad players were let go too
Wober
Schmidt
Ramazani
Joseph
Rothwell
Solomon
Joshua G
Bamford
So a net gain of 2 players on last years squad in terms of those who got game time which wasnt the deepest in some areas
YEP article from Lee Sobot who quotes some of what the club said before the window started and might make one scratch ones head a little given what has happened.

You misinterpreted his comment. He meant in his sleep, he plots how to fool everyone about transfers for the betterment of the company. In reality, he doesn't have to dream as the result is to do what Leeds has always done f all.Originally posted by hopelesslyoptimistic View PostWonder if any journalist will be brave enough and witty enough to ask Marathe the following next time he gives an interview.
You stated that you do transfers in your sleep - wouldn?’t it be better to do them when you are wide awake?

Curious on that list who would be good enough to play or back up in the prem?
Other than Rama and maybe Joffy there is not one that could be put in with great confidence.
Crew and Joseph could be really good with regular play time under pressure but they weren't getting that this year.Last edited by spaldy; 02-09-2025, 03:12 PM.

That's exactly my point, we get trash, then give them away for free, as no one is stupid enough to buy any.Originally posted by spaldy View PostCurious on that list who would be good enough to play or back up in the prem?

Some weren't given any chance by the d head manager. Rama Scmidt wober.
None of the younger ones even got a look in.
Bamf is no worse than the 2 we got in.
It's troubling everyway you look at it.

I think some of the "trash" we got to come to Leeds were some of the best of limited options. I think our scouts often work players that are also being scouted by teams that have better credentials or prem maturity. I can understand a player being very hesitant to come to a team that's in the relegation discussion. we have it worse than many since our last relegation was a clown show of mismanagement.
Programs like Brentford, Palace and even Wolves seem to have the ability to sell their best off and reload. We aren't there yet but think if we survive this year have a much better chance of building that legacy than most.
I think they did a pretty good job of signing some prem level players without breaking the bank.
