Rev, good to have you back

Respectfully disagree on Rama. Farke isn?t playing him and we end up with another Joffy or Darliw situation. We lose Rama for sure. At least we have a chance to get him back with a coaching change.

Cheers guys , hope everyone is well 👍

Tried getting on a few times but was getting splatted with adds and other things so decided to leave it alone for a while.

        Doesn?t seem too bad now.

Good to see you back, and nothing has changed. I went into depression as the lads in here were saying you finally cracked onto the Aldi chick and I'm not even on first base with the Reject Shop chick lol

You're from the USA, right? I didn't think they had Aldis there

First, great to have you posting Rev. 🤗

Spaldy, to be fair, DF like many fans have opinions on Rammas mindset as many genuinely felt that it was just a matter of that when given the chance did he really seize upon it again after that injury ?

Then came his weird cryptic message via media which showed a glimpse into Rammas mindset which he had posted on X, quoting Romans 8:18 mid-season.

The verse he quoted, taken from the Bible, reads, 'I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us'.

So, while some will say his 'sulks' effect the team unit others will also say that he still has something to offer, particularly off the bench, but what if he aint happy to be on the bench awaiting that cameo appearance ?

Obviously when on the pitch hes also required to put in a fully disciplined performance via responsibility input of shared responsibility too, imo, no use in choosing to 'disappear' from game flow cos his opponent has sussed him out attack wise, which was a fair criticism as every player has other tasks to perform & must focus on pulling their own weight in the less glamourous parts of the game, too, imo.

Good team shape, both in attack & defence is a foundational tactical principle that allows a team to control the speed & direction flow of the game which when understood leads to better overall performance as a unit.

Being ultra critical, in conclusion Rammas timing of runs, making decisions on early deep crosses or using cut-backs when near the byline could be poor, so reduced our chances into helping create within these crucial attacking pockets at crucial moments.
Not sure playing a bit-part for us at this stage of our PL campaign would have been of benefit to us or him, imo, too.

Hopefully he will now get valuable game time & mature quicker into the complete player that he can be. He is 25 in Jan 2026, so that early promise must start to show into a consistent individual weekly disciplined performances now. All opinion of course, but looking deeper at his overall involvement, then imo, he has a lot to learn yet for securing a starting place in a PL eleven that he craves for.👍

                Just saying

                  Oz

actually, we have quite a few of them. At least in the midwest most cities and towns have them. They are "unique" by Grocery store standards in the US. They have minimal staffing, a lot of their own brands and you basically package your own groceries for transport home.

By world standards we have lots of choices on food. Grocery business is very competitive. We grow and process most of our food and margins are very thin. We are also a very "big boned" population. We are no longer allowed to say someone is fat and some people actually seem to relish being corpulent. Nothing surprises me anymore.

This will be quickly corrected in our biggest city when they elect a socialist mayor who is going to create City owned grocery stores as well as food suppliers. A couple of years of free food, housing and a basic living wage should do wonders in correcting the oversupply of food and excess eating! of course, the NYC politicians will have their own "seperate but equal" stores just like they currently have a seperate but equal pension plan and healthcare.

Jabbing rev a bit but I really do like Aldis. It's bare bones food supplies at good prices

                    MT,

as always your points are valid. However, I think their must be something in the water at Thorp Arch. Our coaches never seem to really have open competition for Play time. Since even before MB we have had a fair amount of players that never cracked the lineup and gone elsewhere and succeeded very well. We've had a couple that went to Italy and did well including a keeper much better than the one we picked and striker. Joffy, Cresswell, Joseph, Nketiah, just to name a few that sat behind players that were playing poorly, injured,or just exhausted. As last season wore on Rama didn't get a sniff even when we had players injured and unable to play.

I realize we don't see what goes on in training but none of these ever seem to be trouble makers when they go elsewhere so I can't picture they have an epiphanies the second they go to another club.

Ramazani is a match winner and the bad habits could be coached out by a decent coach.

He won several matches with moments of brilliance last season. Fans pay to see that no boring risk free football.

Rutter could be a disaster defensively at times or giving the ball away - ditto Summerville - so certainly Farke seems to be inconsistent and play favourites.

He is almost as bad at managing management as Yee ha was but for very very different reasons.

Neither Rutter or Summerville have established themselves as starters at their new clubs… have to wonder what Farke has to do ..in Championship …+60% win rate, average over 2pts a game goal difference of +103…. Rama out on loan probably best for all… we’re a club in survival mode for the foreseeable… need workrate mostly

Todays top level football focus is on athletic players & structured systems combined with increased defensive responsibility for 'all player.

Defo made the game less suited to the traditional, unpredictable style of a flair player, for sure - so no argument.

The pitch is no longer a 'show-ground' either but rather now a 'battleground' where speed, stamina & strength are as crucial as a well executed nutmeg. Sadly, as such skills today are often frowned upon as show boating inside pro circles rightly or wrongly, I understand.

Summerville & Rutter where improved via hard working coaches at TA too under DF stewardship to which the club benefited financially may I suggest too.

When DF gave Joseph a run, most on here slated his performances weekly, I recall, not me as I understood a players learning curves take time, even at Championship level.

But ultimately Joseph did not help his cause this summer either when he described Leeds as 'not the prettiest place' after his loan move to sunny Mallorca, which certainly didnt go down well in Leeds, a city painted with many murals in hommage to our clubs heros.

Recently we sold Greenwood who Marcelo worked into a decent young player, regardless he got slated on here too, I recall.

In conclusion what could DF do, play Joseph as our 9 to get slated again ?
                                Play Greenwood as a 10 ?
Now does he drop Dan James, already struggling for PL form & now on an improved contract ?
Or give Archie more cameo roles then flog him when you know who comes sniffing ?

Just think we have gotta get real to what is needed presently, imo.

As WS clearly states we are building a survival team & hopefully can take it further from there but it will be on a tight budget were results are still gonna matter 'tho.
Alternative is the free flowing-football that got us where exactly under Marcello ultimately who was also under similar financial restraints during his reign as your mate DF, H.
