Many reports suggest darlow was at fault for both spurs goal, some saying the goals were soft, and darlow was beaten at his near post for the first one and wrong footed for the second, tethered were slight deflections for both and I admit I saw not much wrong in his performance, however if reports are correct it seems peri will be in for the trip to Burnley. Seems a bit harsh in my opinion.

50 years ago, I attended a training session of a visiting Arsenal in Malaysia. We could do things like that then. I had a chance to chat and get some thoughts about goalkeeping from their goalkeeper, a lad called Jimmy Rimmer. I asked him about diving down to stop shots. he laughed and told me don't worry about that just yet. Concentrate on catching the ball correctly. Brian Kidd, John radford, terry mancini, peter storey were all there. Anyway, Malaysia beat Arsenal 2-0. goals were scored by the greatest player Malaysia has ever had, Mokhtar dahari, who unfortunately went on to die of motorneuron disease like the great don Revie. On that l night Malaysia's goalkeeper was the legendary Spiderman Arumugam who made about 20 saves. He too has passed away. just thought I would share the story.
Anyway, Didier Drogba scored countless goals on the nearpost but they were low shots not high ones. Both our goalies have allowed high near post shots to fly in, Arsenal 2nd goal and Spurs first. I have a feeling there is something about the lighter ball and the speed of the shot. I am not sure. Goalies should now be very wary of this possibility. Do I think its harsh? I would except darlow allowed Bournemouth's first from that free kick. I think the wall he set up was wrong.

The wall was correct, the idiots in the wall ALL jumped in the air instead of standing still, therefore the wall would have done its job, a free kick should never go through a wall, around and over maybe, but not when it?s kicked straight at it.

Don?t think Darlow has had any howlers this season. At times he has been sensational not least some of the saves v Fulham.

It's nice having a steady keeper. He might not be spectacular but he's solid. He does seem to take control of the box well.

Agree with Norfolk on the wall goal. that was on the wall and not the keeper.

Our problem is the defender in front of him. Not Darlow. it's strange since we have a highly thought of CB sitting the bench.

7 games in or just under a fifth of the season and neither of the new centre backs has been given a single minute in the PL. heaven forbid if we get an injury to Rodon or Struijk.
