I guess all the numbers that were being thrown around was just crazy talk.
It makes 4.5 million feel disappointing.
I guess "interest" hasn't been followed through with bids.
Kind of stuck accepting this.
Sure hope add-ons, if any, materialize down the road and aren't included as part of the 4.5 million being reported today.

I was hoping for ?5M, so just a wee bit shy of that but, with add ons, you never know. I’m slightly concerned that Udinese seem to have the same owners as Watford and that if Lennon is a real success, which I hope he is, he gets transferred to Watford for c.?5M, meaning our percentage in that deal is not great, then he is sold not long afterwards by Watford to a really top club for, say, ?45M and we get virtually none of that (I think there is a small “development” percentage fee) while Watford and Udinese trouser almost the full whack.
Two other thoughts: 1) I hope he is is a real success with Udinese, enjoys playing in Italy and gets plenty of game time and 2) He goes on to have a stellar career

There's been quite a few pointing out the Watford connection. What's the chances that the club are smart enough to be able to get something in the contract to protect any add-ons from being reduced in such an event.
Probably wishful thinking, but I wonder if such a thing happens would there be able to have a legally binding clause to still keep the club's stake active in such a scenario.
