Motherwell defender Ricki Lamie is attracting firm interest from an English League One side, writes Scott Burns.
The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for the Steelmen this season and that has alerted interest from several lower league teams in England.
An English third-tier side has already held talks with his camp over a potential summer switch.
Lamie’s contract is up at the end of the season.
The former Livingston defender has been a big player in Motherwell’s recent revival.
He has helped the Fir Park outfit to three clean sheets in the last five games and also scored against Hearts.
Lamie made the move from Livingston to Fir Park on a pre-contract last year.
The former Morton and Airdrie limped out of last weekend’s draw at Hibs with a thigh problem late on.
Motherwell boss Graham Alexander is keeping his fingers crossed that Lamie will be fit for Sunday’s clash with Celtic.

Time to revive this thread.
The Scottish Sun says - Motherwell have targeted Zak Rudden as the striker to replace Dundee United-bound Tony Watt.
SunSport understands the Fir Park outfit had a bid thrown out by Partick Thistle for the eight-goal striker, whose contract ends in the summer.

I've not watched enough of County to know either way. Seemed to come through as part of a glorious United young team then lost his way a bit. The goal he scored on the last day was an absolute belter mind.
On Twitter it is claimed he has "5 assist and 7 goals this term and finished 4th top in the no. of crosses." Purely on terms of those attacking stats, you'd say solid addition.

Scott Burns suggests we are indeed considering Spittal.
