We won, didn't control the game as well as we should have.

good to Miley getting more minutes.

    A win's a win, certainly not a classic.

However, I seem to not know what the rules are anymore.

It seems to be ok to wrestle a striker if he's tall and doesn't deserve to be given free kicks or fouls against a defender wrestling him.

The ref basically didn't appear to understand the game of football. Freekicks were given for seemingly nothing yet Joelinton being stamped on several times doesn't deserve a whistle.. doesn't make sense.

When Gordon got the fullback a yellow inside the first 5 mins I was surprise to see that the lads didn't punishing him by isolating him and giving Gordon the ball one-on-one to push for the 2nd red.

That is something as a team that the lads need to take advantage of.

Ref was from LiVARpool and his county FA is scouse. . . sure that had nothing to do with it

In all honesty it wasn't great and could have easily ended a draw.

However, could also be a turning point. Great CL win followed by a gritty prem win.

Not a pretty game but 3 points is 3 points and we were due some late points stealing.
        We deserved it regardless.

This is a feeling I get, myself, more and more in the PL. I find some of the decisions around holding, shirt pulling in the area and handballs as completely baffling these days.

Fulham at home (again!) in the Carabao - noone can complain about that draw.

Nope...1 game away from another semi-final.

Yeah indeed, the home draw is the important bit.

I'd back us to beat anyone at home. Ref assisted, we lost to Arsenal. Had the PGMOL actually performed their task professionally that result would have been different.

It is what it is. NUFC are going to the Semi-Final as the defending champions. NUFC are the team to beat.

Pep farmed the Carabao for winning XP for the first few years he arrived at Man U to breed that winning culture into the club.

Eddie Howe has made it clear that want's to win every game and tries to win everything. Being winners is a great feeling, being serial winners changes the conversation around who NUFC are as a club and where the club are going.

Fourth year in a row we're at this stage of the tournament.

                  Well done, Eddie and Jason.

Aye, class performance on the night & professional consistency from the tactical brain of Messrs Howe and Tindaaaaaaal!

Those in the fan base who thing we can do better are out of their tiny minds.

This guy is still developing as a top flight elite level manager.

He's already got 732 game worth of experience as a manager. He's managed at every level of professional football in England.

At Newcastle United Eddie's got a 50.80% win ratio. That is well above the average.

With the continuation of quality recruitment strengthening the squad providing more and more tactical flexibility things are only going to get better.
