Joe losing his head unnecessarily there, tbh.

VAR might have shown an interest had it been in use...

Joelinton is a fi(king nutter. There was no need for any of that there, and f the was the premier league he?d be off.

Tonali is up there as one of our best ever players, not just midfielders, imo.

            Absolutely correct man.

Bumming them up 'not lost on the road all season, gonna have to put their foot down if they're going to win here.'

All the positive words about them when clearly Newcastle ran out comfortable winners. Of course they had chances, its a prem team, they had 1 very good shot well saved by Rambo.

The rest of the match they were toothless.

            It was a routine win

Right I can say it now the games over: Richarlison is really non-prolific. Dont think Ive ever seen a striker get into so many good positions and not score. He makes Gordons finishing look like Van Basten.

Great result and IMO a surprisingly good performance with that starting line up. I dont see Botman as any better than Schar at the moment and Ramsey looks a good purchase.
              Sandro is just world class.

Ramsey is a downgrade from Longstaff never mind Anderson. Bad business there.

Tonali really stands out a class apart we are lucky to have him.

Lack of first team football both Willock and Ramsey did well. Neither set the world alight. Willock got the assist, could have either had another or a headed goal had he not got caught in two minds.

Ramsey is much more progressive and attacking that J7.

8 Changes and we dominated. Great performance across the squad/11.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYMuT3fWEak - Keith Downie sums up nicely 'a Routine Win', 'Quality off the bench'.

This is a statement of intent.

baring in mind we're still missing our first choice LB & RB, not to mention Wissa still hasn't kicked a ball in B&W. This is very encouraging.

Agree, Raga. To make that many changes and still win well is a very positive sign.

Compared with the channel Carragher was on they were almost positive Toon.

They said it was Spence and Spuds fault for hte goal for starters. According to Carragher the ref should have brought the game back as we didn't give him time to go to the correct position.

                        Thought Ramsey played well myself.

BUt according to everyone - it was our strongest team and pathetic that we played it when everyone else played 2nd teams.

                          We made 8 changes. . . 8.

Carragher has got another 130million reasons to hate Newcastle hahaha.

                            Sour scouser scumbag.

If anything Spenny should have been told to leave the pitch so the game can continue. Likewise when a player goes down injured, they're supposed to be off the pitch.

The latter point I still don't quite understand TBH. The team who's player has been fouled and injured is further disadvantaged by the referee making them leave the pitch for a give arbitrary period to time until the whistle man decides to allow him to rejoin and balance the sides.

There is no such rules for or against players unable to do their shoe laces. Clearly D-Jed was wasting time. The game doesn't revolve around the left back for a mediocre mid-table finishing also ran team.

Aye, Spence was taking the piss; knew exactly what he was doing, slowing the game down at a crucial point, getting into our heads. As loads have said, there's no law that requires the Ref to stop the game and it was actually the Ref who encouraged Tonali to take the corner.

They got exactly what they deserved.

Too right. Are quickly taken free kicks not allowed anymore because you have to wait till everyone gets into position?
