  • Let the Sesko Saga Begin! Here We go again.

RB Leipzig quoted Ar-sen-hole 78m quid. Cheaper than Ekitike.

Sesko was our top target once Ekitike had gone to PSG. So history repeats itself.

With the bindips out they way with Hugo, A-holes going to Gyokeres, Chelsea's acquisition of Pedro, Delap and being unable to move Jackson on. We should have a clearer run at the big Slovenian.

Let's see what shakes out over the next few days.

According to this report Sesko has a ?66million release clause

Leipzig have a release clause that is understood to now sit at ?66million - less than Newcastle offered for Ekitike. Arsenal are no longer in the running as they close in on Sporting Lisbon sensation Viktor Gyokeres.

Id much rather we sign Sesko or Vlahovic then Ekitike both proven international strikers rather then a one season wonder.

Why weren't we in for Victor Osimhen, or Victor Boniface.

Agree. Sesko is a much more proven player than Ekitike.

And, Eddie is certainly the best man to get the most out of his talent.

Ekitike felt right but maybe we should have nabbed him from PSG for 15mil instead. He is the real deal.

He just didn't want to come us ultimately it seems.

We move on but not totally sold on Sesko.

Funnily enough, in this situation I actually think he did but Frankfurt never accepted our bid, or the structure of our payment so his hands were tied.

Not sure what planet he was on to think he would get a game at PSG with that line-up when he moved.

Sounds a bit strange Jammy that if he wanted to come to us we quibbled over the asking price if we were close. Bizarre if this was the only stumbling block to make a statement to Liverpool.

When he was available from PSG we couldn't spend due to PSR. Timing is everything in life. It appears that Ekitike is gonna be our 'sliding doors' player.

Great talent but not the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Friday 0342 +2 BST - Liverpool have not made a formal bid for Ekitike. They've had an approach rejected as they are miles off Frankfurt's asking price.

Frankfurt are the German Tottenham. Very very difficult to buy from. They are encouraging other teams to join the bidding war.

The deal could turn into a Guehi style saga. Segway to the Defender situation. Liverpool have failed to sign the CB from Palace so far.

We are well out of it. The club are not prepared to get drawn into bidding wars or into long protracted transfers after Last season's failed defender chase.

The two players who fit the profile we are chasing are:

                            1 - Benjamin Šeško
                            2 - Samu Aghehowa

These two are quite similar. They're not the tricky technical forward more a traditional CF who plays in the channels. So Isak would work off them if paired together with either of them.

Both are massive units and great in the air. Brilliant of our rapid wide men to hit with crosses.

Fact they haven't had a formal bid accepted yet. . . .does make me wonder if we'll go back towards end of window.
