Not a fan but watched this.

through to the semis on pens coming from behind against Sweden. High drama but the worst fkn pens I've ever seen.

Lucy Bronze to be fair is a warrior. Scored the winner after strapping up her own hamstring in injury time, sprinted 30 yards then put her head where it hurts to clear a ball.

Fair play. Sweden where very enjoyable to warch BTW

      :

Some canny brutal challenges. England were gutsy but lucky in the shootout.

Not sure why women's goalies are still so shite when the rest of the game has come so far.

The Swedish lass saved 4. The keepers need to wear those big sponge hands I reckon.

Didn't see the match, but I've just watched the pens on the BBC sport site.
"Dramatic shootout win" they described it.
I've never seen anything so hopeless and inept in my life.
I'm normally a big supporter of women's cricket and football. But, dear me, that was not a good look for the sport.

Watched the match and it did ebb and flow for the Lionesses. Wobbly defence but the shoot out was a gift to behold...glad they did it and shout out to Lucy Bronze & Kelly.

...at it again tonight, equaliser 96th minute, winner in the 118 of extra time. Into the final.

Kelly had a run like Archie Gemmill but not the finish

              Very entertaining game.

England Women can certainly teach a few things to our men's team - namely resilience. They just find a way to win even when their backs are against the wall. They never give up.

I have to be honest here, and I know it is not particularly fashionable, but I prefer watching the England Women's team to the Men's team. They just seem to play for the shirt a lot more, something I have not seen in the men's team since Italia 90 (Euro 96 gets a mention but was a home tournament). They just have an attitude, which I applaud, that they aren't beaten until the final whistle goes. Kind of like the German men's team - don't look anything special but next thing you know they are in the final. A record of 6 semi finals in a row and 3 finals in a row speaks for itself really.

Spot on. I watched the match and whilst it is of a different quality, it was nail biting and nerve racking. Hopefully the lads will take a note of that and do us proud.

Women's football never really did it for me, unimpressed by the Italy game, maybe if they played topless I might have more interest ?

They went and did it. Well done to them the little keeper played a blinder in pens saving the double balon dor. Very entertaining game again. Gents, take note.

They really don't seem to understand that they can be beaten. Got beat in their first game, went 2 down in the quarters, went behind in both the semi and final yet still managed to find a way to lift the trophy.

                          Well done the lasses!

Yes the quality is lower than the men (who could still learn a good few things) but there are a number of good reasons why. Much less money spent on them, a much smaller pool to draw from; most boys grow up kicking a ball, only a small minority of girls, and those that do don't get picked up by clubs as young uns and intensively trained. You can only beat what you are up against and this is what this team are very good at. Congrats to them

F?ck me, Lucy Bronze revealed in a post match interview (I'm watching it late as I thought kick off was at 8pm) that she played the whole tournament with a fractured tibia! She's clearly not real! Technically I am not a fan of hers but for heart and effort I have to give her her due
