  • Burn - Tino - Hall - LB

Dan Burn: "It's good that we've got those two lads (Hall & Tino) coming back, because they're big players for us.
I've built up a fair amount of credit with my performances since I've been here, so I'm confident I'll continue to play."

I love BDB but he's out of his mind if he thinks he starts ahead of Hall or Tino at left-back when they are fit.

He's a CB and against pacy players gets caught out time and time again.

He can fill in the odd game. But hes no fullback.

Another thing; Even though hes got a long throw, its a waste not to have him in the box on those situations. I dont get it!! Your tallest player should be in the box in attacking throw in situations!

Needs must as the devil drives sadly right now.

Burn's a lad who would play anywhere the manager asked him to.

He'd not a Full-Back. It's clear missing Hall & Tino has seen the team suffer. When they are back wins will come.

What 6'7" Dan Burn is doing taking attacking throw-ins is beyond me.

He's the target not the taker. That needs to change.

He should definitely not be taking throw-ins, but I don't think Hall is always the better option ahead of Burn.

I think the whole "he gets caught out"-argument is lacking quite a few tactical nuances - not that I'm a coach, but it seems Eddie would agree with me here Burn does get caught out at times, but so do our regular full-backs. It's what happens with the shape of the team, the plan and the positioning of other key players that are (also) essential to whether or not we are giving away a lot of chances on the left-hand side. I would even say that being without too much pace in that position can be an advantage (give and take).
