Needs to get back to what we were best at.

Where is the constant pressure that made us brilliant to watch?

We used to play with relentless pressing, we battered PSG and Spurs doing this.

The last 18 months, we have been playing this possession bull shlt and its not for us.

Eddie's tactics again today were utter shlte. The entire world could see Burn was going to get a red

but he chose to keep him on when Hall was on the bench.

Nick "i can't catch or kick a ****ing ball" Pope has to be dropped.

    Botman ffs

I have had enough if this crap.

Elanga is a massive waste of money, he offers nothing at all

Woltermade plays too deep so we have nobody challenging their defenders.

Pressure is mounting, we will not be in europe next season and risk another Isak type exodus if

    things dont change now.

    Man City next

The way were playing I wouldn?t mind losing a couple of players. It all seems a bit stale and needs a shake up.
Our defence is exposed to pace - all managers will see this. Burn needs playing at CB.

I know it's obvious from where we're sat...but Burn was an accident waiting to happen. Two things-Eddie should have subbed him (and that's not even being wise after the event-we could all see it coming) and Burn should have been more careful. He was way too tight and had already had one let-off.

I think EH has spared the rod for too long, he's needed to crack the whip for quite some time now but it seems to me he wants to be friends with his players and doesn't want any upset. He had better be careful, the owners wont care, they'll want results asap.
As for the players, they mostly look past it little effort and totally indifferent. Hopefully when we get injured players back they will shrug off this melancholy they seem to be under. On a brighter note, did you see the spark when Hall came on what a difference he makes, Big Dan as much as I like him should be his backup from now on.

He didn’t even necessarily have to take Burn off, could’ve brought Hall on and switched to a back 5. This could’ve stopped the Brentford pressure, Hall better equipped to deal with the threat down their right side and given us a couple of attacking options from full back.

Even if it was a direct swap of Hall for Burn it should’ve been straight after the booking rather than the dithering on until the 77th minute when the subs were eventually made.

Definition of insanity? doing the same things and expecting a different result.

Other than Tripps available and an enforced changes with Gordon out, this was more of the same that lost to a poor West Ham.

Burn? writing on the wall and Hall sat on the bench. Been saying it since last season, he?s not a LB and will be targeted for pace.

Pope? Great shot stopper when the ball is above waist height, suspect at pretty much all other attributes a keeper should have.

Woltemade? Been good in/around the box but clear as day drops too deep, and we have no focal point for the attack? if we all see this, then have to conclude it is Eddie playing that way.

We still lose the ball way too cheaply? whether that is passing, knock downs, or taken off us while in possession? and have done for - good few seasons now.

If we play like than on Dec 14th there?ll be hell on.

                  AH FWCK

Haven't felt like this for a long time. Too much beer not helping.
Last time I was this pissed off was when Steve "Hey I don't do tactics, but I'm a lovely friendly Geordie,Bung me a million quid!" Bruce was in charge.

What the actual fwck is going on here???
We have the best squad depth for ages. We have world class players.

At the beginnig of last seaon we had a slow start. I thought, fine, we were recently crippled by injuries, so lets back off and dont take too many risks.

This season? Yep we've got some key injuries, esp Wissa and Tino.

But seriuosly?? Our performances against West Ham and Brentford have been utter, utter, sh!te.

AAARGGHHH!!! I don't see quite how we are playing this badly with the talent and ability we undoubtedly have.

It's more than BDB playing in the wrong position. It's more than Gordon only being motivated for "big" games. I don't really know what the core problem is. Jeez, I hope Eddie can fix it.

I'm off for yet another beer. Really shouldn't at my age!

The Burn thing pissed me right off because once he'd gotten away with that first pen it was obvious he'd be targeted - we could all see what would happen. . . and it did.

The ref was ****e today but our players have to take account of working out how Brentford were playing and act accordingly.

This one has pissed me off more than Hammers game.

Agree with Ian, if we play remotely like this at the mackems and get turned over, it'll not be pretty for Eddie or any of the team. (I'm not talking about losing, that can happen in any game, but if we're as meek as today...)

The Sunderland game falls right between Leverkusen in The Champions League and Fulham in The League Cup, I have to admit, I’m a bit wary about it already

If we play like today t& West Ham then the elephant will be well out of the room. It will be on the pitch, stomping on us and sh!tting all over us.

Bugger - too much beer, off to bed....

Been thinking about it, and what I have settled on…

What is our game plan? Because I have no f**king clue what it is supposed to be!

It looks like we are hoping for something to happen, without any clear patterns of play or real impression that players know where their team mates will/should be… and maybe that is part of why we give the ball away so much.

Easy to say I know, and hard to think they don’t drill stuff in training… but I’m not seeing it on the pitch.

We were high press for a good while, aggressive to get the ball back if out of possession and aggressive getting forward… now it’s disjointed and apart from moments of brilliance it’s been mostly poor football.

I dunno, not sure what to think really, but we do have a lot of good players, but there’s no cohesion to turn out a good team performance on the pitch these days.
