  • New stadium...

    ...for Birmingham

Our new stadium. A statement of intent for the City of Birmingham and the West Midlands, testament to a region that is on the rise. https://t.co/m2kfIp7PeH

Howay, man...I know it's a once in a lifetime decision for us but it would nice to have a little information.

I think a lot has been put on hold due to St. James hosting Euro games.

SJP's involvement as a host for the Euros over a year a go.

The challenge the club are facing with regard to the stadium is far more complicated than Birmingham or the filth.

Birmingham will leave St Andrews as part of a major regeneration of a rotting part of the city.

The Filth have a massive empty campus around the swamp to play with, despite them still expecting the government to potentially stump up close to 1 billion quid to reroute a major rail line.

The arrogance. That rail line is a major transport line to good and cargo let alone the 'at capacity' North West passenger Rail network.

Suffice to say they've got room for manoeuvre.

      Meanwhile, back in Newcastle ...

The club, all the fans & business owners demand the stadium remains in the city centre as it's the heart of the city. I 100% support this stance.

The stadium will be in Leazes park, the issue is dealing with all the objections.

We have to concious just how much opposition there is to Newcastle United getting a new stadium from the cartel.

The 'petition to stop the club moving into the park' which got over 28,000 people signed the petition as of June 2025 was clearly not started, promoted & signed local people.

Newcastle upon Tyne has a population of approximately 300,200 in 2021. No way 10% of Geordies would sign that. It's clear that the whole thing was the work on the Mackems and cartel fans.

The new stadium will be in the park. It will be built whilst the 2028 Euro are being hosted at SJP. making sure that this stage, the planning and preparation, is perfect, exact and detailed is most important.

However, the club will get exactly what they want. The council need to tax revenue from the businesses, the business community will bring the council down should the club decide to leave the city centre.

Spurs threatened Harringay council that they would move to the London Stadium, before West Ham took it, if they didn't get everything they wanted.

The local business community went mental and put pressure on the council to give in to the clubs demands.

Now the North London surrenderers have one the nation's, Premier Leagues most elite & is among the World football's most elite stadium.

Knowing how big project work from my professional career, I remain philosophical about the whole situation.

At first, 85% percent of fans were outraged at the thought of Leaving SJP. Now the same number want a new stadium. Jumping that Hurdle alone took nearly a year.

When Eddie Howe showed the club's potential to be a Champions League side, qualifying in his first full season, the fan base all decided a new stadium was essential. We, as fans need the extra seats and the club needs the extra corporate boxes to generate revenue to compete with the cartel scumbags.
