  • this club man, its never easy

given the state of our summer trading thus far, im at rock bottom so im amusing myself for the coming week.

I predict, Liverpool will sell Diaz and make a 125m bid for Isak,

we will reject it as it will be below our valuation.

Man Utd will sell Antony then hijack our attempts to sign Sesko, leaving us at square 1 again.

Osula will pick up a hamstring/calf injury leaving us with no strikers at all

We will eventually have an offer for Wissa accepted and it will drag on for a while.

We will contact DCL over a free transfer

    the oracle has spoken

boll0x, all jokes aside, its been an utter shlte week, the fallout is massive,

We ended our best season in our lifetimes with so much hope and anticipation

and we have reverted back to the Newcastle way of slow, no news, tired journalism crap.

PIF really do have a lot to answer for, letting Mandy and Mehrdad go is the catalyst for all of this

she was the glue that kept the players, staff and fans up to speed with what was going on.

Communication was on point and she got us.

Eales, Silverstone, Ashworth and Mitchell are corporate signings by people who know the game

    but dont know OUR game.

cherry picked on reputation rather than whats important, getting to know the club and who we are.

Anyhow rant over sorry the Jack Daniels talking

haha yes indeed, it's never a pleasure cruise as a Newcastle United fan. When things are going well disaster is always just around the corner it seems. We need to achieve stability and consistency from top to bottom.

Liverpool accepted Bayern's offer for Diaz. Around 65m quid. Not enough to make a significant offer for Isak.

What I will be interested to see is dynamic between Sheikh Yasir and the player.

If as reported Yasir stated Isak is not to be sold at any price, it's his will/word and what I know about guys at that level, their word CAN NOT be broken. They can not be seen to be wrong. As the leader they have to be right.

The red filth will have to accept 50p a bag of Tudor for twirling princess Antony, because no one is paying over a fiver for the lad. Furthermore, Should Sesko chose to go there over being the starter for a Champions League team in Newcastle United then so be it. Players like Sesko & Isak need to realise that there aren't better places to play football and progress their careers.

Isak, should he leave will regret it.
Sesko, should he join will love it.

Good rant, man-some very good points.

As it goes, I know you were partly tongue in cheek but, actually, none of those things you predicted would surprise me if they happened.

I don't like the fact Wissa has thrown his toys out of the pram-he's no better than Isak, if that's the case.

Man U, currently, are a bigger pull than we are, especially with overseas players whether we like it or not so Sesko could well prefer them-if they are, indeed, interested.

Osula will only pick up an injury if he's any good...and does anyone have any clue about if he is or not?

DCL is one we all worry about and it wouldn't surprise me at all.

DCL is an absolute no. That's the absolute worst case scenario, stinking of desperation. He doesn't improve us. Eddie stated that we only sign players who improve us.

Whilst I understand the levels of fatalistic, gallows humour around the current situation with the squad and transfers.

Players from abroad all know Man U but we've a long term Premier League team.

Of course when their agent hears the red filth are in for them, $$$ roles in their eyes like a 1950s cartoon. They know they are going to demand north of 200,000 of the Kings British pounds a week for their player. Those mugs are usually stupid enough to pay it.

These days the only reason players choose them is for the money. They aren't a viable option for anyone who wants to win the league.

It's a club on the decline. Regardless of Bummo & Cunho's signing. It's toxic. Amorim is top of the Pops of the sack race before a ball is kicked in anger.

Then the next muppet through the door will want to rip up the formation and the players won't fit his style.

We're still the plucky under dog and a long way to go. However, we have Eddie Howe, the best young manager in the Premier League.

        The difference is Eddie Howe.

          Hilarious.

Looked at one site in trepidation this morning and apparantly an official bid from Liverpool is expected next week for Isak.....

Meanwhile we are reportedly linked with 3 strikers. Get this...

          DCL, Jesus and Mitovic.

Yeah, Jesus is right on what planet like?

Ordinarily I'd have laughed it off.

Apparently NUFC are 'BRACING' for a bid. What? Is everyone at the club crouched, tensed, squat, with a grimace on their face like their holding back a slippery turd the morning after 3 days on the lash?

            The language is f**king infuriating.

In business, it's a case of 'Put up or Shut up'. I see no movement at all from the Bindippers. Diaz measly 65m Quid transfer doesn't cover 1/3 of the required amount to start the conversation. With over 200m spent the river rats have maxed their spend.

Newcastle United are not in the business of doing their competition favours and will not 'do a deal' for the player. It's cash up front, full amount or nothing.

I still want to hear from the Chairman on the whole matter. It all comes down to him. If he doesn't want to sell Isak, what the player wants is irrelevant. The Chairman will dictate to the employ what will happen.

It doesn't matter what 'the player decides'.

On the players linked... It's all Agent talk, they're all piling in to raise the profile of their client, each of whom are looking to move.

Jesus is on over 250k a week. It's a complete and utter no.

DCL is a not gonna happen because he doesn't improve us, neither does Jesus TBH.

Mitro's on Fire but ... come on ... you never go back to an ex-girlfriend and bringing in a 30 yr old Serbian madman, whilst it'd be hilarious it's the complete opposite of what Eddie Howe is looking for.

Once again lends more weight to my point that the media know nothing and reality is between the Chairman and they player.

Latest I saw today was Jackson from Chelsea.

They want ?80 million and we only value him up to ?60 million.

I bloody hope we don't pay ?60 million for him.

I'd say 40-50 max for Jackson. Not for me.

I think forty is being generous and that is including the upwards pricing of footballers these days.
