At this point, I don't care what the player wants. NOT FOR SALE has to be maintained. Give in now and the rest of the squad and the wider football world will know that Newcastle United can be abused with impunity.

    This can not happen.

Liverpool said that they were prepared to break the transfer record for Isak and then only bid ?110? I don?t get what?s going on there.

There?s no doubt they used social media ?influencers? to destabilise Isak, maybe they thought they?d force him to burn his bridges to the point they?d get him on the cheap.

They?re not gone away expect more destructive stuff about Isak to come out to the point where we will want to drive him down to Anfield ourselves.

...I'd rather send him to Old Trafford now over Anfield.

Its pissssed me off that much at this point. I'd take 120 plus Hoijland as our Wilson replacement wirh Sesko and/or Woltemade coming in too...

Monday will be a big day. Will he meet up and train or will he strike to push for a move? This is what Liverpool will be banking on.

I can't see him not turning up. He's got a lot of apologising and backtracking to do if he's going to stay but PIF are calling the shots now and I don't think he has any other options.

If he strikes, I think the last thing we'll do is sell him to Liverpool.

They manufacture the situation by destabilising an already unhappy player, we know the player had a verbal agreement from Amanda that he'd get a pay rise that, Mitchell's attitude upset the player. Liverpool tapped him up at least from the Cup Final.

The timing of his decision to wait until Ekitike was signed and NUFC are already had issues in the window.

Massive disrespect. The lad could have made it clear from the start. To go to Austria with the lads and team build with Elanga. That's pure W**ker behaviour.

The agent has a big hand in this too. He's a small time no one that is living the dream None of his players aside from Isak are top quality to he's living the limelight of being tapped by Liverpool. Scumbag.

At this point I firmly believe that Newcastle should not sell Isak out of principle.

Offer a new contract or he stays on 120k for 3 yrs. Make the statement.

Absolutely have to hold firm, because it will be Tonali and Livramento next, they need to send a message.

Nothing is certain but all the people I know in Saudi as saying that Sheikh Yasir is steadfast in his position that he's not leaving.

Why would Newcastle United 'negotiate'. What benefit is it for us to sell for less than the number that supposedly is the magic number of 150m quid?

Giving Liverpool a player who we need to remain the conversation at the top end of the table, a player who's goals helped us to the Cup & Champions League football. It's not easy to build a squad and losing a key player is catastrophic.

Sesko is a great player but doesn't have the experience to shoulder the responsibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Sesko, Isak gets a new contract and we bring in a 3rd striker too. Wissa perhaps if Brentford let him leave. However, there will not be a shortage of options for Eddie by the time the window slams shut.

Very strong words from Eddie on Isak.

"No player can expect to act poorly & train with the group as normal.

"You have to earn the right to train with us. We are Newcastle United

                          Into him, Eddie.

Force Liverpool to spend another 40 on Guehl by putting in a bid. Will take their mind of Isak.

Here's some more strong words on the Isak saga. Again this guy pulls no punches but for my money he's dead on.

Strong words from Eddie and needed to be said - yet again the cosumate professional and saying nothing till the tour is finished.

I suspect Isak and agent will be in a meeting first thing tomorrow with Eddie and Sheik Yasir.
