Same old story, score a goal then sit back and protect it. The passing today was Sunday league stuff, couldn't believe what I was seeing, they were also allowing their forwards to run at them for 30-40 yards without at least getting in their face.
Step up Ramsdale you are now our official #1 goalie after that abomination by Pope, where the Furk was his head, hope I never see him again in a B/W shirt. They play a 'kin blinder against ManC then perform like this ??
Eddie and Co better put on their thinking caps, this cannot continue.

I have got to get this off my chest...

        POPE you absolute C@~T!

Eddie, please put some passing practice in the training. My 5 year old Grandson's team can pass better!!

I dunno. I know the stats at half time were grim but we were pretty solid at the back. Pope's gaffe coming when it did put us right on the back foot. If he hadn't lost his head, we might have held on and even got another as they pushed to grab an equaliser.

All moot, though, because Pope fcuked up at precisely the wrong time and they never looked back.

The result was fair but it could have been different.

We made some mistakes and were a bit woeful with our passing at times but credit has to be given to Marseille for punishing our mistakes.
A mental crowd and a psyched up ( second half) Marseille edged it for them.
A game of two halves but pope needs to be read the riot act for rashly coming out.

Gordon is not a striker so that needs addressing.

                Threw that one away.

It's not a good look. Questionable tactical set up, disappointing individual performances from many, poor in game management.

Really disappointed with that one. At this point it's becoming a trend that will lead to Eddie Howe losing his job. If he repeatedly picks the players in Pope & Burn (out of position) that cost games and points he's a goner.

It's a results business and the club ain't getting results. 3 times the team has gone ahead 0-1 away from home only to throw it away. West Ham was appalling, Brentford was terrible. Last night there was a clear lack of ambition to go out and beat the French. NUFC is not a team that can defend for 90 mins. I don't understand why, when in the past the team would go for the throat after going 1 up and score 2 or 3 that all of a sudden there is an arrogance or ignorance that makes the management/coaches &/or players think they can hold on to a 1-0 lead.

In modern football 1 is never enough.

Man Mango says it clearly in more detail.
