  • Nick Woltemade - Stuttgart striker

We've scouted him all of last season.

Bayern are said to have offered ?40m [?34m] for Woltemade, but Stuttgart want ?65m [?55m] for their prized asset, and The Sun claim Bayern ?might pull out of the race? after spending ?56m to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool, in a ?boost? to Newcastle and Man Utd?s ?chances of landing him this summer.

Reports suggest Sesko is leaning towards a move to Old Trafford, but in any case both the Magpies and Red Devils are considering alternatives, with The Sun claiming Stuttgart?s Nick Woltemade has emerged as an option for them.

?United and Newcastle are set to be locked in ANOTHER transfer battle to land Woltemade as their next striker?, the report claims.

The 23-year-old looked set for Bayern Munich after agreeing terms with the Bundesliga champions, as reported by Sky Germany?s Florian Plettenberg over a month ago.

Yes from me, have looked at this lad before but thats a lot of money. I'd be in for 40-50 mill. May even prefer this lad over Sesko and certainly Wissa.

Better conversion rate than Kane, big lad who is deceptively quick and skillfull. He also crestes. Good age too.

He's the profile of player we should have gone for initially rather than Ekitike or Sesko.

Let the cartel clubs go for the hype jobs.

Nunez was the big target of the summer we missed out on to the scouse rats, ending up getting Isak.

So landing Woltemade, for me is far more interesting than Sesko, even on equal money to the Slovenian.

55m quid is considerably less than the 70m (with add-ons) Sesko will cost.

                100% man.

Regarding Sesko, NUFC have told Leipzig and the player that the are happy to meet their terms in full. No penny pinching.

I don't doubt that the club have reached out to Nick's team to find out terms. Stuttgart want 55m quid. very doable.

Nick's on about 15,000 euro a week. So a big salary bump is possible.

I get it. But he's not an open cheque book job. I'd begin there and go up. Would be big into this player but wouldn't go in initially like a pauper in pay day.

But yeah, you are right, theres money there and we are in need of bodies...and the clock is ticking now, time to cut the bollox.

Getting players in is never easy. This last few windows have been awful for a multitude of reasons.

No point in just slinging sh!t at the wall and seeing what sticks. We're not Sun'lun.

Everyone we sign has to improve us. There in lies the rub.

There aren't many players that improve us in most positions. The ones that do are also targets of cartel clubs who can offer 100k a week more in wages than us currently.

For sure we need to bring in quality & Nick is that quality. If Bayern don't get this done, it's defo worth engaging esp if Sesko goes to the swamp.

Looks like he's available for 64.5m quid. That's 5m less than we offered for Ekitike & 10+5m for Sesko .

I rate this kid higher than both of them.

This is the best deal in European football right now for a young striker with world class potential.

Ah, but this would just be the Sesko deal all over again if we went for him.

Bayern aren't going to go that high.

No Prem cartel teams need a striker.

It would be a great signing.

Just don't know if the club are going after another striker after Wissa.

As you know, I think this is an exciting prospect. We need 2 strikers no ifs or buts.

Making it clear, Wissa cannot be the replacement for both Wilson and Isak with additional games this on the menu this season.

Sign Woltemade, sell Isak (for the amount of money we are asking) and we're suddenly looking at a decent, albeit the signings have arrived too late.
