  • Salah says he has been 'thrown under the bus' by Liverpool

I lean toward thinking there's truth in both sides of this. Given his history and status, it's understandable Salah feels wronged and perceives a betrayal. But in any football club, especially at elite clubs under heavy scrutiny; form, freshness, and tactical suitability often override past glories. Managers must make tough decisions, and even established stars aren't exempt.

If you ask me: his thrown under the bus? feeling to me is emotionally a bit of a tantrum; especially going public but whether it's objectively true depends on his fitness levels, training attitude, performance and so on much of which we don't fully know. However, it begs the questions of how much a club owes a player and vice versa, especially when the dreaded age factor is maybe a part of it.

What about our club say Trips or Burn how much do we owe each other! Hard choices in this "football business" game of ours.

I think he has a point. Wirz, Sirkez and Judas have not performed but Salah gets dropped? I think there?s a lot of pressure on Slot to make these mega signings work for Liverpool.
When you compare to last season, they?ve made a real balls up in the transfer market - again showing that just splashing the cash is no guarantee of success.
I wonder who really drove these mega signings. If Slot wasnt in full agreement then I can see troubled waters ahead (shame!!!).

Slot is as good as gone, which is a shame because I was hoping he?d do enough just to keep himself in the job. This is another nail in Slots coffin

Doing it in the press is shit, though.

It's all about positioning himself for his best move and is agent-driven, imo.

Seems to me one of them is leaving the club!

Salah going public like that has burned bridges, he has called Slot out with that statement.

Depending on which way Liverpools performance go without him up to January may decide which of them remains at the club.

Yes, Salah has, but his own exceptionally high standards, underperformed this season.

But he?s not the only one in that team that is.

For me, this is Slots team - he has dismantled Klopps hard work in 1 close season.

He has filled his squad with players who downed tools at their previous clubs - petulant babies who think it?s all about them and not the team - they?re the star, the players around them have nothing to do with being the ones that actually made them look good in the first place.

It?s a squad of individuals at the minute - full of Ben Arfas - all the talent in the world, but if you don?t use your teammates - its 1v11

Don't care about them at all.

I said my piece about Slott when he replace Klipperty.

            Not an elite manager.
Rode Klips coat tails to the title.
2nd season Syndrome kicked in and the fraud has been exposed.
Big headed Dutch gobsh!te, getting what he deserves.

Salah has given the senior management an ultimatum. Sack him or I'm gonna force a move to Saudi on the cheap.

VD and other senior figures back the Egyptian Prince apparently.

Just to reiterated, it's funny but nothing more than they deserve after the arrogance of their summer antics.

Let's hope for stubbornness in the boardroom keeps the Bald Flanders Football Murderer (wonder if anyone will get this haha) through to the end of the season. That's optimal for the rest of the league as they have no chance of finishing top 8 on current form.

Thing is, way the senior management have been backed into a corner over Slot or Salah - they almost have to back Slot because allowing player power to win like this sets a massivly worrying precedent.

Which would see Salah leaving for Saudi in Jan - which is pretty much what Rag said would happen back in June.

There have been fewer clearer examples of player power than Judas move to Liverpool. Hope they enjoy a dose of their own medicine.

It makes no sense giving Salah 400k a week only to scapegoat him when the manager is exposed as a fraud during his 2nd season syndrome.

'Liverpool, the best run club in the Prem. They buy and sell so well.'

                    Cry me a river.

Your take on Liverpool is the most poor of your otherwise brilliant analyses, Raga

Whether one likes Slot or not (I don't), he did the exact opposite of piggybacking Klopp who had worn out the team a long time prior. Slot revi t a lised (a swear word on this forum?????) a team that was never anyone's favourites to go and win the league. He kept them in the running for four titles, until we kicked their @ss at Wembley!

He is also more or less responsible for Ajax' downfall in the Netherlands, along with the advance of PSV.

He has some unquestionable merits, in my opinion. Whether or not he is now the right man to take Liverpool out of their pickle, that's a different story.

Personally, I hope they do a Man United and disappear out of the Top 10 for a good few years!

Whether he has been thrown under the bus or not, he was out of line for commenting on it publicly.

The coont is on hundreds of thousands a week. Bury the ego and suck it up.

I don't give a toss What he says or does.

The issue for me is the hypocrisy of the media, fans and socials.

Isak's agent's public comments about NUFC & his pathetic statement he put out

                          - Good, player is a hostage, Club destroying the players career and image

                          Salah public statements

                          - Shameful, shocking, massive disrespect,

Ones a legend who's dragged a team to glory in the UCL & Prem, the other one wears No.14.

The only difference is club. Poor little victim 500m quid spending Liverpool.

                          Pathetic

The underlying link between the two is the medias unyielding love for Liverpool FC.

i really couldn't care less about that club or their players.

They showed in the summer how classless and underhanded they are.

They won the league with minimal points and in honesty nobody else showed up. Their manager spent half a billion

destroying the balance of a decent squad. They need defenders and backup for midfield, so their arrogant staff,

bought a top German kid and allegedly made promises they have gone back on.

Bought a 1 season wonder full back, 2 top strikers who obviously hate each other and they dont play to Isak's strengths.

Long may their gloom prosper in my opinion
