Just what do these clubs want

This is a very poor decision by Chelsea. Imo hes done a very good job.

Bizzare decision linked to disagreement wuth top brass and the team doctors about treatment of injured players. Chelsea bosses obviously believe they know best.

Suggestions of attempts to influence team selection, too.

Mental that they've spent so much but don't have a top-line number 9.

And if that last point seemed a bit random it was because I was thinking, with the amount they've spent, they should be closer to challenging but then, when you look at their squad, a main striker-as opposed to a 'fprward'-is a glaring omission.

Clearly had a disagreement with the senior management. Perhaps suggests something about his character.

He's done very well with the 1.2 BILLION QUID's worth of youthful world class talent Chelsea has purchased in the last few seasons.
Clearly, though, his attitude is not the best. As that doesn't appear to me enough for the man who has made some cryptically disrespectful public comments.

Yeah man. I agree. No doubt the Directors think the same.

Mad decision in my opinion but I guess if you've pissed off the upper management. . .

I hear that Rosenoir is the fave to take over - Strasbourg manager - also part of the the BlueSky "family".

He is doing well in France but he's the cheap, easy choice really.

Interesting. I guess it'll be a swift replacement.

It also speaks to the trajectory of Boehly's strategy. Once upon a time the 'who's who' of Chelsea managers was a pantheon of the greatest names in the game. It's clear that the US owners see the 'Coach' much more in the mould of the American sports model where the Coach trains the players and shuts his mouth.

Whilst the Strasbourg manager is doing a great job in his role, previous a man of his stature in the game wouldn't even have been on the radar.

All's we can hope as Newcastle United fans is that this completely ruins their season. Happy New year Chelsea.

                    Great potential.

Chelsea Knight Chelsea Podcaster is not happy.

I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Rosenoir, is former player Liam Rosenoir.

Rosenoir, a EFA and Prem journey man during his playing career is just a company name who will hold the place. He'll keep the job as long as he's in and around the top 8.

They'll sack him once it starts to go bad. Which it will in 12-18months of less.

The MARESCA STORY as I understand it.

Maresca obviously knew what he was getting into, when he signed for Chelsea. I believe he was at peace with it. But the thing is, no manager prefers to work where he has little control to where he is the main man that decides everything.

Last year, he won the Conference League, the Club World Cup, and few months later, he changed agent. Of course, that's a move of someone who is looking for better things. I don't think it necessary means he wants out but it's a sign that if something better presents itself, he would take it. I won't blame him because Chelsea could've said, "listen man, we are going to give you the power you want at the club because you have earned it." But they didn't, which could be one of the reasons for the 'lack of support and worst 48 hours comment'.

Recently, David Ornstein broke the news that Maresca is a Man City target. Now, this is where the real game begins. Maresca and Pep are super close. If Pep is coming to an end at City and wants Maresca to take over, there is no chance in hell that Maresca would turn it down. Now, Maresca signed a new contract and will take almighty fee to get Chelsea to release him against their wishes. So, if you are Maresca and knows that Chelsea won't make it easy for Man City, and it could hurt your chances of joining City, you would force the hands of Chelsea to separate and make yourself available to join City. It's a game managers play all the time.

And the key thing here is time. He can't do that towards the end of the season, it will become too obvious. But if he does it now, and rest for 5 months, that's enough time to prepare well to take over City and people won't link his departure to City after 5 months out. In football, fans and journalists have very short memory. They will forget how he got there.

In my opinion, I don't think Chelsea or people at Chelsea did anything out of ordinary that Maresca didn't expect, rather Maresca wants badly to become a free man heading into the summer. I don’t think he will be this desperate if there isn't any top job waiting for him.

                        Yeah Jammy.

Some very good points. The world from people close to the Man City power brokers is that Pep's found a new spring in his step. Reinvigorated by all the new signings and having gotten over the heart break of his divorce in late 2024.

The red filth were 100% sure that Pep was gonna chip last time the rumours started to fly about his future and Ruben Scam-a-rim-job (I do like that one, very creative by one of the ranting Filth PodCasters) was the only man to replacement, so they jumped two footed into replacing Ten Pence with the Portuguese Fraud.

Maresca is a coach. A good one, but a coach is viewed as. Not a manager. He was the head coach at Leicester, not the manager, they bought players by committee DoF and owners holding most of the power. It was his first job as Head Coach/manager and he did alright.

As the article states. He knew what he was getting into at Chelsea. It is a US style business model. Coaches are there to coach and meet targets, achieve play-offs and reach finals to increase the value of their assets, the players to enable the club to sell those player and generate revenues and profits.

That was made very clear Todd and the crew from day 1.

Regardless of his success at the TinPot Worlc Club Championship and the Euro Conference ( a competition which will be won every single season by the English Premier League team competing in it ) saw Chelsea, Like West Ham face teams at the same level as EFA League 1 & 2, with the odd one of two at a quality of a lower mid Chimpo side.

If he thought that winning anything, even the UCL or the EPL would see him get a seat at the table is was clearly out of his mind. If he turned up at Clear Lake HQ with 500m in Cash then he'd be invited in.

Good news for NUFC. Another destabilise club in a super competitive season.

Apperently Strasbourg President has said nobody will be leaving this Jan - basically taking aim at Chelski over Rosenior's potential move.

Can he do that, or can ownership over-rule him to allow him to leave to go to Chelski.

If he doesn't go - who goes there next?

I saw the 'Jetting in' reports.

Looks like it's path of least resistance for them. Howe is never leaving NUFC.
