  • Chelsea Sniffing around Howe

Chelsea have sounded out Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe about becoming their next manager, sources have told Football Insider. The London giants are explor

Looks like our 'Not elite manager' is viewed with envious eyes to the big wigs at Stanford Bridge as the man to take them forward to glory...

Nice to see Eddie's value is appreciated from outsiders, especially with some of the nonsense from small sections of the fan base.

    Hopefully nothing in it.

        It's the completely wrong fit.

Eddie is part of the management team at NUFC. He's got a say in things.

Chelsea's head coach is a trainer, doesn't get any say in transfers, the board and fitness team have more of a say in who plays than Maresca did. Hence why he came out with that statement the other week, to get out ahead of his departure.

The NUFC board are happy with Eddie and he has Sheikh Yasir's ear. He's going no where.

Just interesting to see an 'Elite Team' like Chelsea wanting to take a manager sections of our fan base don't consider good enough.

100% this. Raga the head of reason.

They would chew him up and spit him out within a year like Potter and the rest, he'd be a nodding dog for the brass.

Crazy to even entertain the idea. Laughable.

He is already at an elite club.

They even talk about it in the viaplay studio, here in norway...

Still, it would be a strange choice for Howe to go there. Almost certain to be sacked, at any point.

Can't see it - off all clubs he fits Chelski the least.

For all the reasons stated above.

                        Bidding starts at 150m.

Each time, should they come back try to negotiate a lower price or a nonsense strucutred deal with one of their over priced flops included in the desl Wilson should +5m to the price.

I'm more worried about Man U and Howe...

I got a feeling they can turn his head.

I think Eddie's very comfortable where he is. His development from a League 2 to Premier League manager was with Bournemouth as his vehicle. His development aligned with them.

In the next phase of his professional career, going from Premier League manager to Trophy winner, Title Winner & consistent Champions League manager aligns with the trajectory of NUFC as a club.

We're seeing that there is teething troubles and growing pains as the team/Club develop into a Champions League side.

Villa struggled last season, this season they're flying.

Evolving into that consistent top 4/5 club is gonna need patience and no doubt a series of false dawns, however, as we're seeing with the bench now swollen with the first choice players returning to fitness and contention things are only gonna get better.

Eddie's in the box seat with the club built around him. At this point in his career I don't think there is a club in England that would persuade him leave Tyneside for.

Perhaps City but I doubt Eddie Howe is glamorous enough to replace Pep when the legend decides to move on from East Manchester.

Also the security of his position at NUFC is something he will never have at Old Trafford or on the Fulham road.
