So Trippier's contract runs out at the end of this season, he is now 35.

    Do we:
1 - Sell him for whatever fee we can get from wherever, probably Saudi.

2 - Keep him for his experience and leadership skills, both on the pitch and in the background then potentially lose him for free in the summer.

We may also get the option 3 which is same as number 2 but we offer a year extensions and probable going to coaching staff.

I think we keep him myself, I'd rather we didn't sell as I think one of our biggest losses has been his leadership on the pitch.

Both have merits 1&2. I guess it depends on what the player wants to do at this point.

Clearly there is a need for leadership in the group to see out matches. He's a bigger asset on deck than as a sellable commodity.

In the great scheme of things, I don't think what we would get for him at his age would be worth losing his experience for.

I'd love to see him take his coaching badges and join the staff.

Extend his contract a year, onboard him simultaneously as a coach. Perhaps a youth coach to start with.
