Fringe Players Leaving

I see that a couple of our fringe/youth players are on verge of leaving.

Ben Parkinson - Whilst he has had his debut, he hasn't pushed on with us. He has addmittly suffered a season out ankle injury but we/him have decided it is time to move on. Apperently Falkirk (or Livingstone - can't remember which) are in process of putting together a contract for him. It's a good move for him I reckon. If he's good and shows it, he'll soon et a move back to English lower leagues.

Alfie Harrison - this is a massive shame, considering we spend a six figure sum bringing him to the club. He is attracting interest from Birmingham so we'll get a small fee. He is also doing well in our under 23s, so I guess this may be let by him wanting first team football.

Both players are out of contract in summer, hence the potential/probable Jan move.

Aye, the Harrison one in particular is a big shame as he was seen as having a lot of potential.

I guess we have to trust that it's the right decision but it would be a gutter if he turned out to be another Anderson. I know PSR had us over a barrel but, if we'd understood his true potential, we would have sold others before him. That we obviously didn't see that full potential is a worry, imo.

It does worry me our youth output, we should be doing better.

Harrison appeared to have it all in him to do well, so even if not, then we should have aimed for a decent fee, not just "a small fee".

I bet Alfie Harrison has slso some sell on clauses in his deal from Man City - they are doing it all the time.

I havent heard anything about him, but I always had an impression, that he could have attitude issues

Parkinson confirmed as moved to Falkirk today.

I've not heard that about Harrison but I could believe it if you're a player moving from City for a 6 fee number.

I bet they do as well, we need to get onto doing that.

Parkinson for example, we've let him leave for free but hopefully within that it's a sell on clause.
