From what we know Arne Slot was called into a meeting at around 7:30 tonight. Apparently the meeting is still going on right now but there?s a bigger one at 11:00 tonight involving the whole of FSG and Micheal Edwards. We understand Xabi Alonso would be thrilled to take over mid season and if Liverpool do decide to pull the trigger on Arne Slot he will likely take over. Still yet to be know what the board decides but it?s getting desperate for Arne Slot now.

Just seen this - could see it happening to be honest.

Makes sense I guess. He's a club legend. The fans would back him and he'd get time to get it right.

The aren't gonna be able to turn it around this season, thou, that's for sure!

You just wonder, though, if it was a 'right manager at the right club' type scenario at Leverkusen, ?

Like Potter at Brighton, Nuno at Forest, Frank at Brentford, Postecoglu at Spurs? Fantastic success at their previous clubs.

Maybe managers like this work better at smaller clubs where less is expected (or clubs where the media spotlight isn't as harsh) and, therefore, more time is given?

Its obvious, the more time that passes since Klopp left, the worse they get. They accelerated the decline with that ridiculous window where they managed to upset some of their best players, including their star player.
Therefore I dont think its all Slots fault (although he appears not to be up to the job) but of course hell take all the blame.

The curse of the Cartel clubs. The pressure their fans put on & the expectations of the board when spending the 3-400m quid a season in the transfer window makes them a poisoned chalice.

Another Legendry player flopping as manager at a Cartel club is sweet music to my ears.
