Looks like he's moving to Villa.

28 years old, ?18 million - going to have a point to prove to try and get back in England squad.

Seems a really good bit of business unless there is sumit I've missed or don't know about him.

Not saying we should have moved for him as we have other areas to strengthen but does seem a good move on part of Villa.

Never been a fan of this lad. A decent 1 in 3 striker but had a lot of injuries. A classic Journey-man career.

Certainly not the profile of a post take over NUFC player. Too old, too many injuries, and from all reports rather a large C U Next Tuesday.

At AC Milan, they were shocked at his low level. He looked like an elephant in a glass cage. He couldn't get into the starting eleven in a side that was struggling for years.

Not saying Emery can't make it work somehow, but I'm glad we haven't signed him.

He was never a player I rated or coveted.

He's been a decent goal getter but never prolific.

For Villa in the Fizzy 25 goals in 37 games.

At Roma 26 goals in 84 games. Pretty poor in a top league.

Since then the lad has dropped off a cliff.

AC - 3 in 28. Beşiktaş - 7 in 18.

Good luck to him but not bother about him in a Villa shirt at all.
