We can?t lose pace with the leading pack - 3 points against Villa is massive for us and any European ambitions we may have - Champions Leaque may be too far gone but I wouldn?t be disappointed with Europa League next year, as I see it as a very WINNABLE competition - and its silverware and champions league qualification!

Why would you not want that as a player. Win a European trophy and qual for the next seasons champs league.

      Or

Play a few games in the champions league and have nothing to show for it (because we won?t)

At this stage in our journey - I?d prefer the trophy tbh 🤔

Anyways, totally digressed there 😆 C?mon Bournemouth 😆 and Mr Frank may need to be careful now

In time added on...to time added on. Superb stuff seeing the LiVARpool players crying to the ref. This can't happen to us, you MUST find a way to disallow it.

          Lovely.

Beautiful to see - the self entitlement shatters them.

Meanwhile, for the mackems: do we have a wee bit of expectation creeping in? Playing for half a season with none - it can be a killer when it comes.

I always said, 2nd half of seasom would bite them. I still think we'll see it.

                Loving LiVARpool's crys

If we win tomorrow and big if, we could go 5th.

Bin Dips on 36 +3gd , NUFC on 33 +5GD. Anyway takes the toon above the dippers.

for NUFC to be 4th at the end of the 'game week' (another modern loathsome phrase in football) the following results need to go our way.

Palace beat Chelsea. A draw and Chelsea's +12 gd puts then 4th.

Arsenal beat the Filth, or they draw and NUFC win by 2 or more goals.

Forest Beat, draw with Brentford, or NUFC win by 1 or more goals than Brentford should they win.

A good win at home would also close the 10pts to 7 pts on Villa. They are shocking at SJP and we are dominant in this fixture plus have an excellent run going at home at present.

A draw wouldn't be the end of the world but a win would be a statement and really put the lads in a direct fight for the top 4.

Van Dyckhead responsible for every goal in that match 😆

Lazy attempt to clear the ball for first!
                    Played onside for 2nd!
Nowhere near any Bournemouth player for the 3rd

Liverpool are a disaster at the back and beatable. The clowns like Anfield Agenda and the rest all crying about the manager they lauded as the new Messiah last season being incompetent. How the might have fallen. VVD is a sleepy hasbeen. Their defence is appalling and can definitely be exploited. A win at the Car Twok, Chop Shop of Stanley Park would be a great statement and revenge for the unfortunate loss at SJP earlier in the season.

Spurs are a joke at home, their fans are in 'late phase Ashley mode', a divided club with hatred for the owners who have built them from a mid-table irrelevance to a modernised club with wonderful facilities which as lead them to the delusional belief that they are important. Great PR machine on the back of an ultimately unsuccessful period under Poch's management.

They are there for the taking. I'm still fuming that Romero managed to level it and take a point at SJP, a very weak goal to concede that game was very one sided, two mistakes lead to the points being shared. Pope back and the CB partnership of Thiaw and Botman starting to take shape should see a lot more shut out and a lot less goals being conceded.

City are city both in the cup and league at the Etihad. No big deal either way give it a good go but these results aren't gonna break my heart. They're just a far slicker and well financed operation that NUFC are right now. Defo the club to emulate and aspire to.

One thing is for sure. These clubs don't want to play us anymore than we as fans want to play them.

It reminds me of the scene in watchmen where Rorschach is attacked in the Chow hall.

Even in the Ashley days, we as fans supported the team (maybe not the regime) - but those Spurs fans need to give their heads a shake not even celebrating going ahead - just ironic singing - how do they expect the players to respond 🙄

Harry Talks football is a good watch. Always worth a chuckle. I feel the lads pain! In recent weeks he's looked increasingly more ill.

He always cites the Billion quid stadium and revenue streams. Making it clear that Levy is gone and he's no longer to blame.

My point is ... Blame for what? Over the entire Poch regime, Song and Kane up top years, they won NOTHING. They were an also ran who bottled it to Leicester.

Last season they won European football's 2nd most revered trophy. Europa League title holders yet this is not acceptable to a fanbase who for some reason believe they are among Europe/world footballs top tier.

In reality, they are in the same bracket and Villa and NUFC. The only difference is trajectory. They like, the red filth, hit their peak years ago and are now settling back into the also-ran, chasing pack where they should be grateful to reside. Back in 90s they were a mid-table no body.

                          Ingrates!

Just noticed that all 4 homes teams lost yesterday.

                            Strange.

Carrick has the filth playing with a bit of dignity, scraping together 2 wins has taken them clear in 4th 5 pts a head of NUFC.

A rueful day yesterday retrospectively. A genuine opportunity to make a statement on this seasons Belle of the Ball missed, in reality, the lads didn't really lay a glove on Villa.

That's the wrong kind of statement we were looking for ask optimistic fans.

Never boring being a Newcastle United fan, is it.

I tell you what, though-that new Everton stadium looks cracking on telly.

Well 3 quarters of it-I don't get that smaller end which wouldn't look out of place at Brighton or one of those other stadiums that look like they were designed as an extension to a garden centre or something.
