  • Tino - City

    Tino is interesting City again.

I suspect they'll offer Trafford as a make-weight in any deal.

Whatever is offered, we should get a very decent deal for a young England international.

I hope he signs a new deal but if he indicates he wants to leave, as I said on other thread, we need to shift players out pronto and get replacements in.

I'm more worried about Tino than others to be honest, the apperant stalling on a new deal and agent talk about options etc.

Hopefully Wilson earns his money with Tino and we get a new deal signed.

Really don't't want to lose this player but if he is making noises and won't extend, we sell...at a premium...like anyone else. We have to be cold and ruthless, replace with quality and quickly.

Aye, much as I'd be gutted to see him leaVe, we're not, as we proved last Summer, able to compete with the big players whether we're trying to keep a player or buy a player they're interested in

Man U, Liverpool and Man City were able to take players we were interested in and, of coursem we lost the rat.

So, if Tino wants to go, we need to get business done early. Make him a cracking offer and, if he turns itown, get as much out of City as we can, as early as we can.

The club is growing and experiencing 'growing pains'.

Revenues aren't on a par with the cartel or City. So the club can't offer the wages.

As we all agree. If Tino or any other player is going to go then the club have to control the narrative and the player leaves on their schedule.

It would be wise for the club to tell the mouthy agents the following: Tino as example

' Your client is valued at 80m before pre-season. From the first day of Pre-Season your client is valued at 90m. First of August 100m. When the Prem kicks off 120m. There is no negotiation, there is nonsense. If you try to destabilise the player, leak lies to the press our lawyers will suit you for damages. FAFO'

He seems to be getting injured an awful lot lately so it might be time to cash in 60m and Trafford would be a good deal.

The last place he should want to go with his injury record is City - he gets injured, they sign a replacement, with his wages he sits on the scrap heap out of football as no team can touch them.

But, that being said - I would want an answer from him and his agent, so the search for his replacement can start now if City is on the cards.

I also like the ?non-negotiables? right price right time

Have to agree although we should try for a bit more money. He is a great talent and long time City target.

Leo Shahar I think is the long term plan.

There is a belief in the club that the lad could develop into a top player. However, he's gonna need a lot of progression.

If the transfer merry-go-round kicks off and Tino does go to City, NUFC should go and get the lad from Brentford.
