Reports tonight that we're VERY close to a deal to sign Jacob Ramsey from Villa. Player is interested in the move but may have to choose between us and West Ham. Sounds like somewhere in the region of 40 million. When fit, hes a good player and could come in and completely replace Willock in the squad. He has had injury issues though. Looks like Villa fans don't neccessarily want him to go, which is always a plus.

We're also reportely interested in Bilal El Khannous. Pretty much the only decent player for Leicester last season, and was still just a kid. Only 21 now. Very creative and attacking. It sounds like a release clause of about 30 million.

Think they would both be great.
    Thoughts on either of these?

YES, I'm happy for new additions, our squad does not bat deep enough, so the more quality on our bench, the better we will be when the injuries mount.

Both upgrades on the squad. Ramsey is an upgrade on Willock but has his own injurie challenges.

He is the left sided midfield CMF replacement. His heat map is very left biased. However, that's what he's been asked to play. I don't doubt that Eddie has a different plan for him.

      Bilal El Khannous

      Bilal El Khannouss, 22, from Morocco ➤ VfB Stuttgart, since 2025 ➤ Attacking Midfield ➤ Market value: €35.00m ➤ * 10/05/2004 in Strombeek-Bever, Belgium

Is a very different profile of player to any we currently have in the squad and a huge upgrade of Longstaff.

He's young, talented and there is a hint of ASM and Ben Arfa about the lad. Not saying he's gonna be that erratic or mad cap as those two legends but he defo has the tekkas and the ability to really be a top quality player. He was the one shining light in a shockingly poor Leicester team.

I know I?m being greedy but I?d still like a 6ft tall 6ft wide destroyer for the midfield as I don?t think I?ve seen either of those 2 put in a tackle

Ramsay, El Khannous, +powerhouse would give us rotation across our midfield three.

However, one of those 2 named maybe? And priority has to be a striker now

        Pope / Ramsdale

        Trippier / Livramento
        Schar / Thiaw
        Botman / Burn / Lascelles
        Hall / Targett (Burn?)

        JoeL / ?
        Bruno / ?
        Tonali / ?

        Murphy / Elanga
        ? / ?
        Gordon / Barnes

Be happy with both of those and two strikers.

Totally agree with Mr Threepwood, though-a big Joelinton-like midfield destroyer would be a great addition, too.

A LOT of work left to do but this window could turn out-belatedly-to be an absolute corker.

I agree. I would like a Joelinton understudy. Amir Richardson or Mahamadou Doumbia would do the trick!

We are still far too short on numbers, It's good we are replacing players who have left, but beyond that we are pretty poor

I agree on the numbers part however we are replacing our outgoing players (maybe Elliot apart) with better players who can add something when we need to change the team around. Felt last season that when we needed to change in the second half of games the oncoming players weren't offering enough.

Overall, if we can 4 more (2 strikers included in that) it's a very good window.

That's the optimal end to the window.

Regardless of whether Isak stays or goes we need 2 up top. Wissa is still looking like the most probable for the Wilson replacement.

However, with AFCON he's gonna be away for at least 2 weeks up to a 5 weeks and miss anywhere between 5-14 games.

Having another striker of high potential would be ideal.

BREAKING | FC Bayern today submitted a new offer for Nick #Woltemade, proposing ?60m plus bonus payments and a sell-on clause.

VfB Stuttgart rejected it, even though the player?s camp believed the package would be sufficient. Stuttgart demanded ?75m from Bayern today ? something Bayern will not do.

This lad is available for 64.65m quid.

That's 5m less than we offered for Sesko & Ekitike. He's absolutely worth that.

Al Khannous and Ramsey are good options for the two in midfield. I have other preferences however both players make sense and the are attainable without having another cartel related farce or being strung along by a clown like Parish.

Al Khannous has a release clause. Ramsey looks like he's on his way.
