We went into the transfer window with most of us agreeing that we really needed 4 positions…

GK, RCB, RW, ST

We have Ramsdale, Elanga and Thiaw now.

Reports out late yesterday claiming Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign a striker, which should unlock Quattara moving from Bournemouth to Brentford, and Brentford green lighting a sale of Wissa.

If that all happens quickly we could still see Wissa play against Villa, bit rushed compared to how Eddie usually spends time integrating players, but possible.

Ramsey talks supposed to be progressing, which means we have a little more depth there with really only Miley and Harrison available at the moment, though suspect Villa wouldn’t approve that till we have visited Villa Park.

If we sell Isak, and at this stage I’d be happy to see that happen, and we use £87m of that to activate Samu’s release clause, and we bring in Ramsey, then that would be a very good transfer window, signed what we wanted too, have 2 very good strikers (Wissa got 18 Prem goals with 0 penalties and Samu could be the next big thing), and improved the midfield.

If there is money left from the Isak deal, and I think there would be a good chunk of it, then another midfielder would make this a fantastic window.

That Korean lad looks like he is going to be a real talent in the next few seasons too.

Yes we are all pi$$ed at the way Isak has let this play out in the media and no comments directly, but let’s remember what we wanted coming into the window… the squad could be much much stronger come Sept 1st and we nearly have what we wanted already, it is not all doom and gloom despite how the media want to paint it.

That's the clear sensible positivity sadly missing from the slathering insanity of social media. People Burning shirts and talking all doom and gloom.

With or without the sale of Isak the money is there to do the deal for a Samu. However, even with the release clause the player he's make clear statements on social media and in interviews how motivated and focused he is on working with his team mates in Porto to try and win the Primera liga.

Fair play to him, imagine having that level of loyalty from a player!?!

The affordable and more developed option at a much lower price is Nick Woltemade.

Funny things I've noticed.

Trafford went to City as he'd was gonna be the natural progression to Ederson.
City have agreed personal terms with Donnarumma who's 26 and gonna be City's No.1 for the next 5 yrs. Trafford will be 27 before he gets a shot at being No.1.

Delap went to Chelsea to be the No.1 striker.
Chelsea immediately sign Joao Pedro. Delap is 2nd choice. Barely played in the WCC.

Ekitike cost the bindippers 82 million quid. The river drinkers have spent the rest of their transfer window hell bent on getting Isak. Ekitike must be buzzing to know that he's not good enough and 2nd choice.

All these key signings that 'rejected us' are all an after thought at the clubs they've chosen haha.

Problem Isak has created is that everyone knows he has a bad attitude problem and has no idea what loyalty is or the honouring of a contract, which he and his agent readily accepted.

I would reckon his value will reduce as time quickly goes by so we do need to cash in NOW, invest as usual with integrity and common sense and out of it all will come a stronger, more united loyal squad dedicated to the club and not the pocket.

I have been a voice to keep the player.

Whilst that is the case for many reasons. Perception, the club, the board and Chairman need to prove that clubs can't just come and take our players.

My bigger point was that Liverpool don't have the money to pay what he is worth.

Hence the smear campaign, the high level media hatred of Newcastle United.

The money is important and to enable us to buy another 3 or 4 top quality players will be a huge benefit.

I just go back to my point.

Liverpool don't have the money. They never did. The blew their wade on Wirtz, Salah & VVD's new contracts & the fullback to replace Trent.

After the Ekitike knee jerk signing, it was over for them. Losing Jota, having to Flog Diaz & Nunez is proof they can't afford to spend like Chelsea, The filth or City.

They and Arsenal the poorest of the cartel. Their owners are on a budget, they milk the clubs for profit the prestige is 2ndry.

If they had the money they would have made a sensible offer. Something in the 135m quid - 140m quid range.

They didn't because they don't have the cash.

Next season, Isak will be amortised by another 13m quid and will be free to leave for around the 110-120m quid mark.

Which means the club will not really lose much in the way of value in selling next season compared to this.

If he's no bloody good to us then it's an expensive way to teach him a lesson, that's why Zips, others an my self, say make use of the money we can get for him to benefit the club and the whole squad.

That would go more towards humiliating him by seeing how the club copes taking advantage of his value to our betterment without him.

Obviously if he does go to PiddlePool then the icing on the cake would see us above them in the league,(as in not too long ago) and him having a bad time there, with those dirty scousers on his back and just nowhere to turn for him other than abroad.

It's not teaching him a lesson though - that is just a benefit.

It's teaching the whole rotten lot of the cartel that they can't just come in and take our players without fair value.

I agree with the sentiment of using him to fund a rebuild - I think we've all be prepped for that to happen to a big name at some point and I would happily fund it with Isak but not if we sell him to LiVARpool under our value, because that sets the precedent of how cartel clubs will treat us going forward.

We flog him cheap now and whose not to say that in a seasons time we have Chelsea or City doing the same for Tino.

No one is suggesting he be sold on the cheap. We need to get our price or very near to it, or some deal to include add ons to make up the price and make it worthwhile to sell.

It wouldn't worry me if he goes to PiddlePool because to my mind he's not the sort of player to thrive there and it wouldn't be long before the Scousers were giving him stick and that's where we sit back and knowingly smile and say "I told you so"
