He signed them both is he admitting he has made a huge mistake ? I agree Wissa can go in the summer but Woltemade is a quality striker just being ruined by Howe currently.Originally posted by Curian View PostI think he has given up on them..they do not suit his style of play. Though Woldy is more deserving as I think Eddie has been the issue with his decline

Well that was painful.
I think what was worse was we gifted them 4 of them.
Oh well, always a hard ask at Nou Camp. . . Onwards and upwards - hopefully this will set us up to take out our frustrations on mackems.
Might also show the ownership how much we need to move on to really challenge the likes of Barca.

Aye, we were absolutely miles off them in that second half.Originally posted by Jammy89 View PostWell that was painful.

Talk about a rude awakening. There are levels to this game.
Seeing the Camp Nou rebuild and the tiny section of away fans penned up in some obscure part of the stand was symbolic.
The plucky chancers from the Geordie North East paled into insignificance against the might of European Royalty. The Travelling fans sang their hearts out and did the club, city and Geordie Nation Proud.
I mentioned on several occasions last week watching the English teams in Spain. 'Make sure you wear your long studs, the pitches are extra slippy.' No one seemed to pick up on that among the coaches.
The first half was a competitive hectic spectacle. Yet once again the two most important positions on the field were left wanting.
Ramsdale is not an elite keeper, despite decent recent performances.
Gordon is not a striker, let alone an elite one.
Chances were few and far between yet at half time NUFC had had 1 more on target than Barcelona. The difference being that the Catalunyans took those chances.
Newcastle, such is the story of this season, left wanting.
Credit where it's due Ramsey, Excellent, Elanga took his goals well, Barnes sure footed and consistent.
Star of the team, once again and starting to look embarrassingly better than the other 10 in B&W is Lewis Hall. The lad is light years ahead of the rest of the team. At 19 he's on his way to becoming the best LB of his generation in world football.
With Bruno out & Tonali just off the Karzi from a bout of the wild ****es it was as good as expected.
We as a fan base have to accept that this club has a lot to do before we can genuinely compete toe to toe with the Giants of Europe.
I don't just mean in terms of on the pitch, but infrastructure and the very real fact that a club like NUFC will ALWAYS be playing against the 11 players & The match day officials.
I won't go into the details of each decision give or not given, yellow cards not given etc. We all watched it, we all saw it.
It has to just be accepted now that our fight is going to be against, not just the entirety of the Big club cartel but also the officials.
Last 16, not bad. Must try harder next time.
No more distractions. Howe get the lads on the grass for a week at a time from now until the end of the season.
Let's see how things pan out.
HOWAY THE LADS!
