Lack of training time… yeah, because every other team in Europe is poor in the league this season.
Changing formation and tactics, successfully or otherwise is still a 'plan B'.

Yeah Villa suffered big time last season due to squad and training limitations and that's with the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ Emre as manager in charge.

Spurs are going well aren't they? 17th in the Prem... that's what I call consistency.
Man U last season in the Europa - Finished 15th - bang up job.

Both these clubs have Wage spends 3x Newcastle United's and vastly more experienced and deep squads that Eddie has to work with.

      Injuries required solutions.

Ideal world - every position is filled with experienced specialists to that position. Sadly this is the real world.

Villa suffered big time last season did they? 😂

They reached the quarters in the Champions League, the semi-final in the FA Cup, and finished on the same points as us in the league… we were f**king lucky they got beat by Man Utd in the last game or we wouldn’t even be in the Champions League this season.

Villa might not have CL footy this season, but they still do have additional European fixtures, and are comfortably 4th at the moment in the table (by 5 points with only 7 games left).

Spurs were absolute gash last season without Europe, this season makes no difference.
