  • Trippier officially leaving

Thanks for everything - he will always have a special place at the club; first marquee signing after the takeover. Joined us when we were in the relegation zone.

The rest is history. Hope he returns as a coach, he?s got a good set of skills that he can hopefully pass on.

Just seen his Instagram message. For his work, commitment, joining us when he did plus a sleuth of other good things, a true modern Toon "Legend"

Aye, spot on, lads. He's been bloody fantastic for us.

I'm sad his time here has come to an end but I'm also glad he's not staying, if that makes sense?

Been a great player and personality for us. Thanks, Kieran.

The catalyst for change post take over. The first one in the door.

The epitome of an Eddie Howe signing. Bringing the leadership, experience and winning mentality.

Tripz contribution on and off the pitch has been instrumental to the rise of the club.

Sadly his legs going with a bit of age creeping in as also coincided with a patch season this time around.

In defence of Trippier, I don?t think he thought he would be called upon as much as he has been this season.

It was clear that he was meant to be a cup player, a substitute but injuries made him much more important this season.

I am with Zip, shame his time is coming to an end, but I am pleased it is.

Yeah, that's a fair point as well.

Same probably applies to Burn. A back 4 of Tino, Thiaw, Botman and Hall would have seen us a lot higher in the league if they'd been able to stay fit. Neither Burn nor Tripps should be starting regularly, tbh.

Sad to see a modern toon legend leave! Tripps laid down the foundation for the culture in the dressing room, and for that, if nothing else, is what I will thank him for! Great leader of men.

Great player for us - you can actually hear the emotion in his voice when he talks about his time here.

It's best for all involved really, plus means we get a huge wage of the bill to put towards other players.

Legend, always welcome back but this is the right time.

Fair play to Tripps knowing that too.

He really is putting the club first in that aspect, and I would love to see him back here in the dugout alongside EH et al
