Regardless of whether you think it'll happen (I know a couple on here are dubious) and working on basis it is going ahead.

Will the new council have any impact?

The former Labour chair, was a Newcastle fan for example.

Doubt it would make any difference, it?s an easy PR win with the majority of the electorate to approve and political suicide to reject.

Possibly-the new ward councillor is Green Party so will likely have a different agenda.
