    Just seen this the club have bought most of Leazes Terrace and all that faces the ground

    Something to do with an SCR loophole whereby the outlay doesn't count against our spend but the rent can count towards our income.

    It's listed so we've no chance of buying it and knocking it down, more's the pity.

      Yeah, it?s Grade 2 listed too, so more protected than Leazes Park.

      Plus we?d end up having to play elsewhere for god knows how long if they were to somehow get permission.

        As far as I understand we could end all the tenantseys and then vertical build over the top of the terrace and not impeach on the daylight rules
        I know that’s not pc but as most of the terrace is let out to students again as far as I understand then they don’t come out in the daylight so it wouldn’t affect them

          It also means that if we own it, then we can do as we want without having to worry about complaints or people putting in challenges.
