  • Wage Saving

These are estimated figures the highest salaries NUFC players are on. We;re going to be saving quite a chunk seeing Gordon off to Barca.

Trippier, Krafth and Targett free agents, which is ?215k a week saved.

Schar offered reduced terms for one extra year, so some saving there.

Ramsdale on loan, his salary is huge - think he'll be gone to.

Ruddy and Gillespie are free agents too, however they're on low wages.

This will give us breathing space to give new contracts and pay rises to players we need to.

Might want to check your maths there fella, across the 4 in that table it?s ?445k per week.

Obviously we need replacements but it?s gives a fair bit of wriggle room to at least cover 4 players coming in.

Meh we're saving a good wack. . . . There is a reason I went into arts rather than maths

Aye you'd hope we get at least 4 coming in.

The bottom line is that the club are still clearing out the squad.

In project development and software development we used a term 'iterations'

Iterations are where you refine and refine a solution until it meets the specific the clients project criteria.

Eddie has used the phrase 'evolution not revolution'.

Iterations are more exact in terms of developing a system that works.

The club now has long term senior figures in the club's more influential positions DoF, CEO etc.

The CEO has brought in some top quality commercial guys with focus on turbo charging the revenue streams of the club.

That along with the rotation of playing staff for profit will expand the SCR capacity to spend bigger on players wages enabling competition with the more established revenue generators in the Premier League.

NUFC will be able to match a Man U, Arsenal or Chelsea, when the club can offer wages on parity with those clubs. They won't match the alure of Real Madrid or Barcelona for obvious reasons.

It doesn't make the club a 'stepping stone'. It makes them a Champions League contender. When NUFC's name is on the Champions League trophy 10 times and on the Prem trophy 10 times then perhaps conversations can be had but that is a long way away from the club today.

According to the link below, Jacob Murphy is on ?35K per week, for me this is the benchmark of our current ambition. He must be sold this window, even if it’s for a nominal fee. If he stays for another season or for some unfathomable reason triggers a 12 month extension, then that undermines our transfer policy. In terms of player trading, we’ve been terrible sellers in the past, the obvious example being Callum Wilson who could’ve generated decent income but was allowed to dwindle down to a free transfer after a couple of additional injury ravaged seasons.

We should also cash in on Joelinton now in terms of his age and value ratio, to get the maximum return before he declines in value as a squad member and asset.

Whether or not Eddie agrees with those decisions, the new management structure needs to impose them to establish their ruthlessness and pragmatic decision making.

An updated look at the Newcastle United F.C. 2025-26 payroll table, including team totals, retained figures, and complete breakdowns of player salaries, and bonuses.

From his body language, in recent matches and his attitude it's clear that he's been told he won't be part of the Squad other than a bit part player next season.

Clearly he's not good enough. He had a great season last season. That was a one off. It was a system that worked.

Murphy, like Pope, are in massive decline. The decline this season is not just the new lads not gelling, it's equally, if not more so, a culmination of the likes of Gordon, not being assed, Murphy & Pope (dependable if not fire starters) levels dropping off a cliff.

Throw in a few long term injuries, Bruno, Tino, Burn's punctured lung and boom 12th place finish.

Murphy as a squad player that never gets on the pitch, a Krafthfu / Lascelles type hype man, fine but as a squad rotating substitute .... NOOOOOPE!

If the fella's good for 12-15 goals a season he's wages will be worth it.

It has been mentioned that there are several clubs in the Prem & also in Turkey who are looking at signing Wissa.

Either way the club has options.
