I read that he was now in stage 4 stomach cancer, here's hoping for a miracle turnaround but it doesn't look good.

    Devestating news.

When he was talking about it, it very much sounded like he was planing his goodbyes.

He's hoping to be able to come out on to St. James on one of home games to say goodbye to the fans, as he feels he's never got the chance to say goodbye properly.

He's made it clear has to be with Eddie's support though, as he doesn't want to disrupt the team.

    Such sad news

Most important figure in my NUFC supporting life.

Such sad news. What a player, what a manager. Almost took us to the very top - created a mythical team and thousands of beautiful memories that are still very fresh to this day.

Looks like I?m falling all over again head over heels in love with King Kevin.

By the way, the 90?s Keegan team is the main reason, perhaps along with Shearer, why NUFC managed to attract a vast fanbase outside of the UK in those days which built the foundation for the international fanbase in existence today.

Many people who followed football back then in Scandinavia, for instance, remember the Enternainers vividly; the playing style, the Brown Ale shirts, Ginola, Shearer, the Champions League matches, the crowds they saw at St James? through their badly connected televisions.

It was Keegan?s team(s) that spread the word about Newcastle out and about in Europe.

I?d love to see him walk back out on that SJP pitch one last time ❤️

Reckon the two of them managing their respective clubs Newcastle v Liverpool Greats would sell out a packed Wembley for a charity gig.

See it now a 4-3 cracker for the ages.

              And No Michael Owen
