  • Ramsdale

    Ramsdale has return to Southampton.

Not surprised to be honest - glad we didn't fork out ?21 million on him.

Shame as I rated him but he didn't really work.

With him going, Ruddy gone, Pope heavily linked with Leeds and the youngster Thompson going.

Would suggest a full change around in Goalkeeping union.

Don't worry, Mark Gillespie is staying

      Unsurprising really.

Counts as home-grown and is happy to sit on bench, be a training keeper.

Hermansen at West Ham isn't a bad shout, the new Danish national keeper. Wet Spam obviously got relegated, but you couldn't blame that on the goalie, that's for sure.

Not sure I would put much trust in a keeper that has been relegated 4 times!

          Move on

We needed two new 'keepers last season but we kept Pope and brought in Ramsdale so I have low expectations about this Summer.

That being said, I do know *taps nose, that we're in for an elite 'keeper but are hopeful rather than expectant.

Living the dream. Best job in football. Training ground keeper at ya boyhood club. 10k a week for a 9-5 never have to travel with the squad home for tea.

Epic, however, the squad needs these players for many reasons & he's supposed to be a great bloke. No skin off my nose, it's not my money paying his salary.

It's not for the want of trying to bring in a new keeper.

Liverpool signed Mamardashvili and loaned him back a couple of seasons ago just to stop NUFC signing the lad.

Last Season Mitchell AKA Director of sabotage, torpedo'd any chance of signing Trafford by intentionally lowballing Burnley until City joined the chat.

Then it was out of the clubs hands due to the existing contract buy-back.
The whole I-suk situation that grenaded the clubs entire season is the fault of Mitchell, too. There has been discussions at the club (allegedly) that they may take legal action against Mitchell due to information that has been found out since he departed.

                Trafford - City
                Chevalier - PSG
                Joan Garc?a - Barcelona

All 3 elite potential keepers last season when to the top top clubs in their respective leagues. Not a surprise. Spanish kid goes to Barca, French kid goes to PSG, Traf's contract took him back to City.

The transfer window has not even opened yet. The comments from the fan base on social media are getting to a point where I'm genuinely starting to hate them.

Apparently he went to see Chelseas training ground, but was suprised to meet the other 20 keepers they are stocked up with.

Leeds want him now, which would suggest they are moving on from Pope.
