  • Lazaar launches attack at Rafa

Basically says he wasn't treated right - particularly by Rafa, says fans were cold to him.

    Article here - https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...nches-34075078

    He comes across very bitter.

"At Palermo I was worshipped and pampered like a king". . . .I mean, Jesus mate, you chose to come here.

Also, if he was as great as he clearly thinks he is - how come no big italian sides came in for him at end of contract, hence why he wandered around the Chimpo at Watford and then to Portuguese 2nd division.

"At Palermo, I was worshipped and pampered like a king; at Newcastle, instead, the fans were cold. The stadium was magnificent, always packed with 55,000 people, but on the street, no one knew who I was. I could drink a coffee next to them, and they'd barely say hello. I missed that beautiful Italian pressure where the fans give you hell if you lose.

"Furthermore, in England, before matches they would dance and blast music in the dressing room; I, on the other hand, needed silence and focus, I just needed to hear my studs on the floor."

If he'd been any good and not been up his own arse, he would have been worshipped here.

Be interesting to hear if Palermo fans would agree that they worshipped him.

Can see why he had a problem with Benitez he was very similar to Howe always played his favourites even if out of form and isolated quality players like Mbemba and Mitrovic.

Rafa, Clearly we know who he is. Who's whiner?

Oh, that no body left back. Totally forgot he existed. No doubt the football world in it's entirety had too.

Writing a book, no doubt. So, to answer your question: money.

I remember we were all puzzled why we brought him in back then, as he had a decent reputation, for Rafa never to use him. Now we know why.
