  • Victor Munoz

Seems we're seriously looking at him but no bid as yet. Quick and knows where the goal is.

We seem to be moving quickly.

No bid but we've talked numbers and their happy with what we're talking - ?35 million up front with ?5 million in add onss.

He's apperently happy with our contract offer and likes the project.

I'm officially calling it. Just off the phone mate of mine, ex-NUFC academy player & pro football coach just confirmed from a mate of his at the club.

Munoz flew in to Newcastle after being given leave from the Spain National team in the USA to sign for NUFC. They've done all the media today, medicals.

      MUNOZ DONE DEAL.

Apparently my dream signing might come true as well. Garcia is a genuine target and Wilson as been to Madrid to negotiate for the player whilst clearing up all the Real related Munoz contract clauses. Early last week.

Garcia & Munoz Yes, Gonzalo Garcia and Victor Munoz are good friends. The two forwards developed a strong bond while playing together through the youth ranks at Real Madrid.

They have cultivated a very supportive professional and personal relationship, openly praising each other's talents in interviews and on social media. When Munoz scored his debut goal, he specifically credited his easy chemistry on the pitch with Garcia. Similarly, Garcia has expressed excitement about seeing his close friend make his senior debut and earn his international call-up to the Spanish National Team.

If Wilson pulls both these signings off we're got one hell of an exciting attacking line up with Woltemade in the mix!

I'd heard about Garcia as well.

Hadn't heard Wilson had been in Madrid though, that is positive.

yeah dude to the Munoz deal hinging on Real Madrid not wanting the player back. Real Madrid have no interest in bringing Munoz back to Madrid, however, the 17.5-20m they will earn from NUFC's transfer is much more attractive to them.

With Garcia openly discussing leaving Madrid to progress his career and being best mates with Munoz there is a great chance to get the lad.

Also, Wilson has looked at a few Real Madrid youth Thiago Pitarch Pinar and Bruno Iglesias.

Obviously Liverpool have come in and signed him while we were messing about

Liverpool have triggered the release clause. Disappointed as this has a knock on affect on the clubs chances of signing Gonzalo Garcia.

When discussing the Gordon replacement, initially, Munoz was 3rd or 4th choice on most peoples list.

Gonna be another wave of hysteria and Eddie Hatred.

I'm taking the Summer off lads. Wake me up, when September ends.

Very disappointing but nobody knows whether, if we'd offered the full release clause fee, he wouldn't have waited for a bigger club anyway.

The player was in Newcastle a few weeks ago.

From what I'm told personal terms had been agreed with the player.

The fee was being negotiated and NUFC were close to getting the player for 10m euro less than the 40m euro release clause.

Once again, Liverpool have over paid for a player to stop him joining NUFC.

That's fine plenty of more fish in the sea.

Can’t see him getting regular game time there either tbh

and can Liverpool not afford their own scouts since the fans rebelled against the ticket price hike ‍♂️

Lol appears to be the case that the bindippers et al are playing the same game as last season.

Let's face it. No one had heard of the kid 3 weeks ago. He wasn't on anyone's radar let along 'Want list'.

Wilson was apparently working on the deal before the season ended and negotiations were close at 30m Euro.

He's off to Land-o-rats for 40m Euro. The full release price.

Clearly NUFC didn't value him at that price or they'd have just done the release clause.

Won't be the last failed transfer this summer. Just no point in over-reacting.

                      On to the next.

You're not wrong Rag - it just bloody hurts because it's liVARpool again.

From what I've read, we had everything agree - price and player terms, then his agent slowed it all down and suddenly. . . boom he's going to LiVARpool.

Yep the price at 30m & personal terms.

It is what it is. Money = everything. Liverpool can offer more money in wages.

I keep banging on about the commercial side of the club as a business needs to accelerate revenue generation.

Until the disparate financial delta between NUFC & the Cartel club spend power is reduced to a point where it is no longer of consequence when it comes to direct player offers this trend will continue.

Wilson worked hard to get Ewen the GK in. However, we will expect more of this behaviour as the summer progresses.

No doubt the squad will be better before the season kicks off. The earlier the better, a good long pre-season is paramount for a good season.

Wissa at least looks like he's doing well and should hopefully come back fit, he'll be like a "new signing"

Or does well enough to get himself a move away for something approaching a decent fee to repay the transfer cost allowing Wilson to bring in someone more suitable.

Long way to go until pre-season. Let's hope the club manager to get a signing or two in soon to quell the rabble.

The transfer window is a miserable affair these days.
