  • Hydration Breaks

Personally I hate them and think their ****e and obviously only done for the advertisers.

Do we think they'll be kept though post this World Cup?

All under the guise of player health etc but really used to sell more advertising space.

I really want to believe no . . . . but I think Infantion has $$ in the eyes.

I have spoken about IFAB and the commercial influences pushing them to find ways to stop the game more often.

This is clearly a move to push the game to quarters to facilitate more adverts.

It's a load of absolute shite.

Everybody knows it's gor nothing to do with hydration and everything to line their pockets, the greedy, corrupt bastards.

Hence why I think it'll be pushed to be kept under the guise of player welfare.

the extra subs were kept from during Covid.

The Van Dyke commented after the Dutch match 'we're playing in Air conditioned stadium. We don't need a hydration break'

Jackie Charlton going mental on the sidelines as John Aldridge get's 3rd degree sunburn.

              Pure gold.

However, Shearer and the lads on 'The rest is football' said that one of the commentators accidently commented that 'it's coming to the end of the quar.. coming up to the hydration break.'

This absolutely must NOT become the norm in Association football. The ebb and flow of the game is dead if they reduce the game to 4 22.5 min quarters.

I am watching all of the games on a Buffalo station ('cause they're free) but as soon as the break starts it's instant ads. It must be nipped in the bud after the WC or it will become the norm. What happens when the games are played in the cold, will they need warming breaks ?? Total 'kin nonsense.
