  • The strikers linked

I?m not impressed with any of the strikers linked with us, Wissa, Larsen, Jackson etc.

It feels like we are scrambling to get anyone in to let Isak go.

None of these links are for the Isak replacement. All of them are Wilson candidates.

    Don't get it twisted.

As I said months ago, Isak is not leaving this summer.

If we get two of them in Wissa and Larsen for example. Then Isak will be allowed to leave I think.

I would imagine a difficulty in this is that I am sure the recruiters know that they cannot sell coming to us as "Wilson replacement" even though thats what it is.

Problem is that there isnt many good strikers around. Many clubs struggle to find a top striker.

Dusan Vlahovic is probably the best striker we might have a chance to sign.

....which is why they should have went for Hoijland. A young player still with potential who just had a bad year, wants away from the sewer and with EH magic could very well become Isaks replacement. The right price too.

              No he won't.

              Not after the public message.

The player won't leave this window.

The Chairman can not be wrong.

I would not mind a Callum replacement if they put it in the net as many times as he did when at his best!!

This from The Mag, you can skip through the first half of it until you get to the bit about "was it all a ploy by Liverpool", probably not right but interesting to say the least, who knows ?

For me, Vlahovic would currently be a Wilson replacement. Benchwarmer at Juve, a club that?s been going downhill for a while.

If we sign him, I hope Eddie can do his magic. Looks like he?s going to Napoli anyway.

We have to get 2 I?m before I would let the rat go, and not much chance of that so looks like he?s staying.

                            Isak is not leaving.

With or without 2 signings The chairman will not sanction the move.

That is the reality of the situation. Any further discussion of the player going this window is a waste of time and effort.

It is highly unlikely that the club will sign 2 strikes. One of which needs to be from LIST 1 - which has now been scrapped. Which means besides the chairman absolutely blocking any transfer the requirements to facilitate a potential move will not be met.

Furthermore LIVERPOOL DON'T RATE ISAK THAT HIGHLY. They won't spend 150m on him. The whole contract over 5 yrs will cost 225m. They aren't City, Chelsea or the filth. They can't afford that.

                            So there are 3 no

                            1- Chairman said not leaving
2- There isn't a high enough profile striker available to sign
3- The Bindippers can't afford to meet the minimum asking price

Isak is a Newcastle United Player and will be back in the squad after the international break in Mid-September.

Time to get happy with that reality ladies and gents. Never forget but he'll come back in bang in a **** loads of goals for himself. The club will benefit as a biproduct, I don't care. If those goals ensure we are back in to the Champions League again next season and possibly win us another trophy then great.

He can go next summer at our time and price of choosing to the club in Europe of our choosing,.

I hope that you're right Rag.

I do think if we keep him then he'll tantrum and grump but will come back to fire a load in to keep himself in press and big money move sights.

However, will the damage to the squad have been to much - if he misses a chance, will people pass to him in the same way etc.
