    So many points wated already...

Need to start Tino and Hall on either side. With Burn at LB we're totally useless on the left.

      Absolutely!
I know I'm (nearly) always an optimist, but I do feel very good vibes about this season.
      A lot of unnecessary upheaval.
A lot of new faces, joiming too late to be effective early doors.
When the upheaval is behind us, and new blood coached by Eddie to play his style, then I think this will be good progress on our road to the top of the Premiership. Just got to accept that there will be ups and downs - but as long as the long term trend is upward, all is well.

LiVARpool basically ****ed out entire transfer window with Isak.

And thus the start of our season.

Isak starts these games and I honestly believe we'd be on 7 or 9 points now.

          Oh, for sure, Jammy.

          I think we'd have had 9.

Isak would have scored a couple in that half hour period of dominance against LiVARpool and I think he would have scored against Villa, too. Leeds were dogged but Gordon , Joelinton and Isak would have made the difference.

If we'd had Isak, Gordon wouldn't have had to run around the way he did from the position he was in (not excusing his stupidity or culpability, though) and the extra effort our 10 men had to put in probably contributed to Big Joe's injury.

So Isak is responsible in more ways than one for our lack of points.

          Fair play to Leeds, though.

Someone else I was talking to (saints fan, not toon) mention that Longstaff had probably said the best way to nulify our best players as well.

And Bruno was certainly not getting his usual passes and playing style into the game.

Is it me, or was there a whiff of the early part of last season about our performance?

I remember (an unusual circumstance for me these days!!) being perplexed by us looking so lethargic at times last year. Where had "intensity is our identity" gone? I remember thinking that it had to be a deliberate response to our terrible injury record the year before.
Was the Leeds game an attempt at a measured response to the balls-out Liverpool performance, which resulted in Big Joe sidelined, Tonali nearly so, Schar lucky to avoid concussion and Gordon sent off?
              Dunno.......
