Yeah it's been coming and going for the last 3 or 4 days here in Qatar.

There's been Database disconnections, DNS issues and something else I forget.

it has been for a few days now.
I also notice that i can't view and read the threads anymore unless i sign in first

Continued and repeated outages persist throughout the last 24 hrs.

It's been problematic since last Wednesday/Thursday

Nothing, then it loads up, then down, then up.

I assume sumit is happening back office etc.

Had to sign-in straight away to read threads. That's new, not bothered. I found that the site was crashing during log-in most of the time over the last few weeks.

So maybe that's the maintenance they've been doing of late.

Would everyone be interested in moving the community over to our own bespoke platform?

All the mods would remain mods etc. I'm just thinking about a possible setting up a message board function my media business launches it's new Social media platform.

A canny offer. Thanks, Raga. It might be good to have a back-up but, until this site folds, I think we just have to put up with its occasional foibles. See it like a classic car...enjoy it when it's running but accept there'll be times it's coughing and spluttering a bit.

It?s not a great analogy tbh. It?s an internet chat room in 2025 and it can?t handle punctuation marks from some keyboards and locks us out far too frequently. I?d support a move to a site that runs normally.
